Atmosphere was relaxed with a great choice of ales and wine. Host was very informative and helpful. We had an early evening meal on offer with a bottle of bubbly thrown in, good value

Food was good (my pie was sublime but partner's fish just ok) and pub was nice but very loud. Expected a bit more knowledge about the cask ales they advertise.

It's been awhile since we have eaten here but we came in for lunch today. The last time we were in was just after the new owners took over. The menu is much bigger now and the food was to a very high standard, the service was great the chef even offered an alternative to something the we didn't like with the dish without us even having to ask. The price was reasonable and the local beer great. All in all a great pub with great food and we will be returning soon.

I nipped into the Palatine during my lunch break with a friend and our time was very limited. When I asked the waiter how long it would take for our meal to arrive he was very helpful and explained that it would be a 15 minute wait tops. He wasn't wrong. The chef must have pulled out all the stops to get our meal on the table as quickly as he did. Both my friend and me ordered the baked potato with cheese and coleslaw and it was delicious. Being nosy, I glanced at other meals being served and they all looked delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more of the same

A family day out on a very wet Friday in August meant that we were rather bedraggled when we arrived at lunchtime
We were hoping for a friendly welcome, some well kept local real ale for the boys and Pimms for us girls followed by a tasty lunch.
Sitting upstairs with a view over Morcambe bay was an added bonus and the food was indeed tasty! We had jacket potatoes and bacon and brie ciabatta's with a portion of well cooked chips!
We are planning to return soon and will always be grateful that we found the Palatine - its well worth a visit
