Went last night for a quick bite to eat. Was empty, but was told by serving staff that specials board was upstairs - no info given on what was actually on the board! So we had to go upstairs to see before sitting back downstairs. Veg that came with the food was old and inedible. When I mentioned this when the plates were taken away, there was a brief apology, but no offer of a slight refund or a drink. Food wasn't as nice as it has been in the past. And to top it all off, I've been ill for six hours now. I have no proof that it was this food that made me ill, but it was all I ate yesterday. Extremely disappointed and shan't be returning.

Stopped off for lunch here on the way to the Isle of Man ferry. Staff were very friendly, the pint of Lancaster Brewery beer was great and we both had sandwiches which were delicious and excellent value. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Just a quick visit while on a weekend trip to Morecambe. I was told that this used to be the roughest pub in the town several years ago. Well if that is true the transformation has been magnificent. We just nipped in for a quick drink and were impressed by the decor, the atmosphere and the furnishing. There seemed to be a nice vibe in the bar with conversation flowing freely. No signs of it's less than illustrious past. The food menu looked good if a little pricier than the run of the mill pub grub available nearby. The drinks were a little pricey but you do pay more for the quality of the surroundings and I guess the pricing strategy explains the kind of clientelle they are aiming at. All in all a pleasant if all too brief visit and I will definitely return and maybe sample the food if in the area again.
