Visited the restaurant for a meal this evening and we were asked to wait at the bar while our table was being prepared. This seemed normal and so we ordered a drink. 15 minutes later we were shown to our table, despite the fact that two tables had been set up 10 minutes before. We had our menus plonked down without so much as a sorry for the wait. We then waited another 20 minutes for the waiter to come over, but this was only after my fiance had gone to get him. The reason for the delay was GCSE results day, which is fair enough but there were plenty of staff members and the restaurant wasn't even full so I am not sure how long you would wait on a Friday or Saturday night.
We ordered our food which came rather quickly, much too fast for it to be fresh in my opinion and when it arrived it was burnt on the edges and had been padded with onion under the potato skins which is a bit cheeky. The onion was raw which was not very pleasant.
The mains were ok. I had a hot dog, which was just a cheap frankfurter in a bun topped with BBQ sauce and some pulled pork. The corn was mush and not really edible. Suggesting it was microwaved!
My fiance had the calzone, which to be fair he said was nice. So not all bad!
The other issue is that the restaurant is in need of a facelift as the padding on the bottom of the seat was loose and you could see behind the booth. It does feel a bit grotty which is odd as I have visited another F&B based in MK and it did not feel like that.
All in all not a very nice meal that we waited ages for...will not be returning as this is the second time we have been let down by the food at F&B's.
