We chose a fairly terrible day for weather [cold & windy] but found the large area of parking with disabled badge holder spaces very useful. Slopes up to the entrance on either side of the steps also helped.
Entry is not inspiring as the beatiful open lobby means you are not sure where to go for the afternoon tea: I think they need someone on duty at the entrance to make you feel welcomed and to know where you are going. Staff at the main desk quickly got us to the correct area.
The Afternoon Tea is described by others but came as three of everything for our party of three. It was accompanied by as many pots of tea as you wished. At the end we asked about taking home a couple of uneated pieces of cale/scone and these were quickly packed into a proper cake box for us without any problem.
Service was a little slow initially given the few choices of 'tea' you could have but once going was efficient and pleasant.
The views from our table over a very windblown Morecambe Bay were stunning.
Costs are very reasonable for the quantity, service and setting.
Mum loved it!
