“I cannot disagree”
Reviewed June 2, 2013

Just read the many complimentary comments left by others who have stayed with Rob and Lee.
I cannot disagree with any of them and have little to add than to say Thank you for looking after us so well. An example of how a seaside hotel should be run.

This guesthouse provided not only comfortable accommodation and a lovely breakfast but also the most fantastic view of the sea - just as promised on booking!!

Rob charming host and immediately dealt with tiny issue of remote control not working - only for my husband - without fuss and swiftly.

Breakfast was lovely.

Room Tip: would ensure you ask for sea view if wanted as some rooms may not have such a view?

We stopped in The Balmoral in February 2013 for two nights as a birthday treat for my husband, Lovely warm welcome even though we were late getting there, Spotlessly clean rooms, wonderful sea view, warm and beautifully decorated and furnished room. The bed was really comforatble, Breakfast was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay there and didn't want to leave. Will be going there again later in the year

Room Tip: limited availibility for sea view rooms so book early

First visit to Morecambe in many years. Could not have chosen a better place to stay for a base to visit different areas. So clean and brilliant staff. Lee and Rob, well what can one say, two nicer guys you couldn't wish to meet. Breakfast you can have as much or as little as you wish all cooked fresh. Lovely sea views over the bay from our room, tea and coffee making facilities. Dining room doubles as a bar in the evening and we were able to finish our day off by "putting the world to rights" with Lee and Rob, just like sitting in your own living room with friends. Will definitely be back and also recommend to family and friends should they wish to visit Morecambe. Thank you for making our holiday.

Don ;t look any further than the Balmoral. Morecambe still has a lot to offer especially if you are content to walk the superb promenade which is clean and smart and now with the Midland Hotel to pop into for a coffee just to see the renovations! The Balmoral is spotless and well-maintained with a great deal of thought having gone into the amenities in bedrooms, residents lounge and dining room/bar. Warm and comfortable with delightful decor throughout. Managers Rob & Lee - great hosts, friendly and extremely helpful - will definitely to back and will recommend to others. Many thanks for a great wee break.

Room Tip: We had a lovely double room directly above the front entrance with bay window and comfortable seatin...

Lovely Guest House,in a quiet area but short walk to main shops etc, well run by Lee & Rob two super guys plus the other great staff.
Breakfast 100% perfect with plenty of toast to follow. We look forward to our return.
Very Clean Lounge with a huge leather suite. If you are an asthmatic phone ahead and they will ensure the room is as clear as is possible of any irritants (air fresheners) also the linen is almost chemical free which is/was great for myself.
Go into the town centre if you like Live Music in pubs.
Don't waste your time searching you have found your accommodation!
Thanks... Allan & Christine. (Wigan)

Room Tip: We had one of the top sea-view rooms, about 40 steps up but worth it for the room & view.

Management were very accommodating about us late date changing.
Our 1st visit to Morecambe (in terrible weather) but still a great visit. Great location just out of the busy area. No noise at night from outside or from within. Fantastic views from our bay window. Decor and furnishings were a little dated but functional and clean. Great traditional breakfast. Friendly staff. Only negative is parking, we were fine as road parking out of season but at high season a 2 min walk to a car park may be required. Otherwise a faultless stay.
We are in our 50's and we found this a comfortable traditional B&B stay and we hope to revisit again soon.
Thank you.
