We have stayed at the Ashley now for 4 years running, we always go up August bank holiday and it never fails us. This year we had a total of 4 rooms with three generations of our family staying there. The breakfasts are superb, better than before and have an excellent choice and are freshly cooked. Our daughter had problems with her room door and toilet seat whilst we were there and both were repaired by the time we returned after a day in the Lakes with no questions asked. Beds comfortable, free safe in the room, great choice of teas and coffees and everything spotlessly clean. So thanks once again The Ashley we will definately be back.

We came to Morecambe for a short break and book the Ashley after seeing the reviews on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed.
It's location is good. Right on the seafront, in the nicest part of Morecambe. Quiet but only a few minutes walk along the prom to the center.
We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was comfortable and well presented. The bathroom was spotless. In fact, just as everyone says, the standards of cleanliness is very high.
Lovely breakfast and plenty options.
We'll definitely be back.

My sister and I booked to stay at The Ashley Hotel for 4 nights. Our aim was to visit our mother who was elderly and had just had a hip replacement. John was friendly to my sister but when I turned up later he was surely and rude. My sister then enquired about the noise level in our room and was informed that she could leave she wanted!!! The shower was broken and when we complained were told it was our own fault. I didn't finish my breakfast the next morning and was told off in the the car park! Later that evening when we returned to our room It was as we had left it. Uncleaned. Wet towells ( from trying to turn off the shower) and someone had opened the windows so they were practically pushed off their hinges.
The next morning we complained the shower was jammed again and was told it was our own fault. We were left a very condecending diagraham on how to turn on and off a shower! We checked out after 2 days and was refused a receipt.
I believe we were treated this way because the Hotel owners thought we were gay.

The Ashley is situated in the perfect location for Morcambe, Lancaster and the Lake District National Park.
We were able to park right outside the door. - The Ashley also has a free-to-use private car park for guests.
Our room and the whole place is very well maintained and immaculately clean. High Quality bed-linen and towels are provided. And a bright, modern and spotlessly clean ensuite.
Our room was at the rear of the Hotel (Room 5). A comfortably large, well decorated, room with plenty of space for two. Loads of storage space in clean drawers and a fitted wardrobe. It has a large double-glazed window and, although we didn't have a sea view we had a pleasant view of trees and distant rooftops.
A flat-screen Tv with all free-view channels and a very generous selection of teas, coffees and biscuits are provided. - With quality China Cups and Saucers.
There is a first-floor Lounge with stunning views of Morcambe Bay and the mountains of the Lake District. Even a decently powerful telescope is provided! There's a fine selection of books and magazines with comfotable arm-chairs too, if you like to relax and read.
Breakfast is served early or late to suit and is probably the finest breakfast you'll ever get in a private hotel. All the ingredients are of the highest quality and are cooked to perfection while you wait. - Nothing is pre-cooked or re-heated at the Ashley. Tea is served freshly brewed in a china pot and the Coffee is better than Starbucks.
We found this great little hotel by accident, only booking the night before we arrived. - We got the last room.
We'll book in advance next time!
I've included a couple of photos. I don't consider myself to be a photographer!

A warm welcome when we arrived was provided by John who took us up to our rooms. Our room was a family room and was a reasonable size but our friends double was quite small and restricted. Because we were only staying one night we did not bother to request a larger room. There was a nice residents lounge on the first floor which overlooked the bay.
The breakfast room was very bright and nicely decorated and the breakfasts were cooked on request from an extensive impressive menu - well done!
Parts of the guest hose looked a little tired but this has become the norm in resorts such as Morecambe.
All in all we felt that it was goog value especially if you like a good breakfast.

This small hotel was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Very, very clean, Sky TV, fantastic views and the best breakfast ever.
We will definitely stay again when we are over in Morecambe, our room was well heated and comfortable, excellent value for money. Thanks a lot.
