Hubby, Penny (pooch) and I visited for 6 nights at the end of March this year, our second stay here. After last year it was "a must visit again", so we did.
We were made to feel like friends and really welcomed. Nadine and Malc can't do enough for you. Their hospitality is second to none.
Breakfasts are freshly cooked and top notch, fill you up for the day and the doggy sausage is wolfed down.
Rooms are immaculate and beautifully furnished with a good sized en-suite. To say you sleep well is an understatement in the extremely comfortable and snug beds. In the morning you open the curtains (that's if you bother to shut them, no need) and wow, what a view!
An unsurpassed base from which to enjoy N Yorkshire.
I don't think we will ever look for anywhere else for our end of March break having found this gem. On the agenda again for next year all being well.
A big thank you to Nadine and Malc.

My brother and I have just come back from a little weekend away in the countryside and we were lucky enough to stay at the amazing Five Acre View! I don't normally leave reviews on Trip Advisor but I feel that this place truly does deserve all the praise it gets! Amazing views, Lovely owners and very homely! Highly recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere nice and peaceful. Also its not far from the 3 or 4 local pubs which is always a bonus!!

Ours was a last-minute, out-of-season, visit, but we were made to feel truly at home, and now can't wait to return when the weather gets warmer to match the welcome we got. Superb views, a breakfast that kept us going for the rest of the day, a charming and friendly hostess, and the best attention ever for Fudge the dog!

We came across 5 Acre View by chance because we bought our Cocker Spaniel from the owners Mal & Nadine. The farm is situated about a mile from Rosedale Abbey set in a valley with, yes you've guessed it a five acre view to die for. Nadine and Mal make you feel very welcome from the moment you set foot in the B&B. There are only two tastefully furnished rooms that are immaculately spotless. Dogs as you can imagine are well catered for and I am sure Nadine has everything for your dog should you forget anything.

Breakfast is huge and is excellent quality and Harry our dog welcomed his sausage.

A wonderful place to unwind in the country for a few days, throughrally recommended

Room Tip: Don't forget to take a torch especially in the winter

Four of us (me, wife and two daughters) plus Lily the hound stayed for two nights from 31st October 2012. Unfortunately, it was dark, wet and miserable by the time we arrived to a warm welcome. That made opening the curtains a lovely surprise in the morning. Staggering views, then down to a breakfast that defeated us all.

We've stayed in places that claim to welcome pets but, in reality, don't really. Everything you need is here. Perfectly placed to visit Whitby, Pickering, Goathland etc. etc. Wish we could have extended our stay and will definitely be back (in the summer, fingers crossed).
