“Great place to stay with friends”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 for a stay in August 2012

Stayed with a group of friends from school days and had a great weekend. The large kitchen was ideal for shared cooking duties and the double height cruck beamed ceiling lounge has real 'wow' factor, the doors out to a lovely sunny courtyard, were well used. Easy walk into Pickering for supplies and local cafés etc - the Castle and the North York Moors railway are added extras. A great base to explore North Yorkshire from including the moors for more serious walking and Whitby for sea air and good fish and chips!

“Great location with lots of character.”
Reviewed May 27, 2014 for a stay in July 2013

Lovely property with lots of character, especially the fabulous lounge with vaulted ceiling and big fireplace. Lots of nooks & crannies & original beams give this a medieval feel yet it has all the mod cons. Within walking distance of the town and some great local walks, and an easy drive to Whitby and York.

“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed May 26, 2014 for a stay in July 2013

A group of 6 of us visited the longhouse in July for a get together and it was the perfect setting for it. We had lovely breakfasts on the terrace, went to the beautiful beach at Cayton. Had a BBQ by the lake in Dalby forest which was absolutely stunning.

Charming house in wonderful location. Would highly recommend.

A very clean and spacious accommodation, the owner was very helpful in recommending places of interest and restaurants in the area. This added to the enjoyment of our stay and I would definitely return and recommend.
