Our stay here was really lovely. The setting was so picturesque and the place was beautifully kept. The room we stayed in was very well equipped, clean and welcoming. The owners were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious! We would definitely recommend this and are planning another stay in the near future, but this time in one of the timber lodges on site. 10/10!!

We were a large family group of 11 people and Steve, the owner could not have been more accommodating. Each couple or person had their own room , all around a lovely courtyard, each with their own front door. The rooms were well appointed, very clean and well stocked with tea/ coffee/ toiletries etc.
The breakfast was really good, individual selections of a cooked meal and a buffet of cereal, fruit, yoghurt.
The farm itself is on a very quiet lane a little way from the town of Pickering.
A lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: There is one room with a 4 poster bed and a couple with their own little patios.

This is my 4th visit to this farmhouse motel and I am obviously well satisfied with the motel and excellant farmhouse breakfast. If you like a quiet country farmhouse setting this is an ideal location. The rooms are seperate lodges with your own door key and the breakfast is in the main farmhouse. It is a short drive to the town of Pickering but this wasn't a problem for me as I had my main meal at lunchtime with a sandwich in my room for tea.

Room Tip: I have been in a couple of rooms and they are all of the same excellant quality to the best of my k...

We shared the 3-bedroom and 2-bedroom self-catering wooden cabins behind the main farmhouse B&B. They were both very cosy and clean with modern bathrooms, firm beds and decent heating. Each cabin also comes with a gated "porch" which would be great for keeping control of children / pets, or in better weather for outdoor seating.

The main B&B is just yards away and you can help yourself to a vast array of DVDs and board games in the reception hall (TV's in all bedrooms and lounges come with in-built DVD players). Around the cabins are a cute collection farmyard pets, from two quiet little ponies to a flock of extremely friendly hens - to the two giant and somewhat intimidating goats and three collosal rabbits. There is also a small kids playground so the whole set-up is very much family friendly.

Our only complaints, and these were very minor in the whole scheme of things, were the old kettles that took ages to boil and a slight disparity of plates and cutlery amongst the two cabins (one having bowls - the other not ; one having a broken tin opener, the other not ; one with plentiful hot water, the other one struggling). That said, the owner was quick to rectify all of these minor complaints and our time there overall was fabulous.

Note that the farm is about 1 mile out of Pickering, so bear that in mind if you fancy an evening trip to the Pickering pubs.

Book direct, NOT through agents!!

We have recently stayed there for just one night but really enjoyed it. Sarah,Steve and the rest of their family were very friendly and made our stay a relaxing one which is not easy to do with two year old twins! The room was very clean and comfortable and we all enjoyed breakfast the following morning. We will definitely be returning.
