“Lovely Saundersfoot”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Just stayed for two nights in the Woodlands Hotel having arrived in Saundersfoot with no accommodation previously booked. The hotel is at the top of the small hill leading into the town so our superior room had the benefit of a sea view which was an added bonus. The room was spacious and immaculate, perhaps not entirely to our taste furnishings wise, but the cleanliness, space and very warm welcome from Nicole more than made up for this. Breakfast was the usual B and B spread and was good. We were very happy with our choice and would return to this very reasonably priced hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Room 2 has a lovely bay window and a sea view (over St Brides hotel which is opposite)

Nicole and Mark were very welcoming and full of good advice about the region, the best eating places, the facilities and anything else that you wanted. The breakfasts were wonderful, the food locally sourced and very tasty; the evening meals even better and excellent value for home cooked food. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden with a cool drink and playing with the family pets. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and there was a wealth of information for the guest. If you want to feel at home this is the place for you

Room Tip: rooms with a sea view best

We have just had five lovely nights at this hotel. The rooms are very clean & spacious with comfortable beds . Nothing is too much trouble for Nicole & Mark , the breakfasts are to die for , fantastic. They certainly go that extra mile to make your stay memorable , for all the right reasons . We hope to go back very soon

Room Tip: We had room at front of house at very top which had partial sea view , which I loved

I can't believe the misery of the [very few] bad reviews. Considering the extremely attractive rates, this is a lovley place to stay - it is on a hill, but this would only be a problem for those with severe mobility problems. The hosts are so lovely, and a mine of information - as someone else has noted, Nicole's passion for the area and wish for you to see the best of it really helps if you've never been to Pembrokeshire before. The rooms [we were upgraded from singles to doubles, so I'm doubly appreciative] were clean, comfortable and perfectly nice. Shower a bit low in pressure and one or two warning notices too many about not doing this or that, probably from bitter experience from the owners. We had a brilliant time.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. A very nice clean comfortable hotel. Hosts Nicole and Mark were very friendly and informative as this was our first visit to the Area. Breakfasts to die for! Wouldnt hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Myself and my family only stayed here the one night and would most definitely recommend it!
The owners were lovely and friendly, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! I must admit I'm a slightly fussy eater, but nothing was a problem, and the food was lovely! The hotel also has a lovely little garden at the back which is lovely in the nice weather, all this at a very reasonable price!!! We would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: We stayed in the rooms overlooking the garden at the back, which we're perfectly fine for oursel...

A very nice hotel - very comfortable and convenient for Saundersfoot, although hill a bit steep. Breakfast really excellent - hot and freshly cooked. Immaculately clean and well decorated and reasonable prices. Would recommend it. My only reservation is that the owners have three dogs but they are outside in the garden and not particularly noisy. Beware if you have allergies to dogs though!

Room Tip: A room at the back overlooks the pretty garden.
