The hotel staff are very friendly and with the temperature at -3 outside the rooms very warm and fitted out to a very acceptable standard. I've stayed there twice recently on business and i've had no complaints. were very warm and hThe car park is a little difficult to find when it is dark and could do with a little better signage but thats a small thing. The breakfast was good enough and saw me through the day. Next time i'm going to make sure i get there for happy hour.

We had Sunday lunch here while staying in Manorbier last weekend. The food was excellent with a good choice of mains, starters and puddings. Service was not particularly quick, but to be fair they were fully booked and we didn't have to wait an inordinate amount of time between courses.
Pretty good value for money with a two course lunch coming in at less than £15.00 each. Would eat here again if in the area.

Just spent four nights at The Gower Hotel Saundersfoot, we wanted to stay in Tenby but as it was a last minute booking we couldn't find anywhere to stay so decided to book something close by, we are so glad we did. From the moment we arrived the reception was so welcoming, it was like coming home. All the staff were very friendly from front of house to kitchen, nothing was to much trouble. A big thank you to Andy who entertained the children on Halloween night Carving Pumkins and dressing as Dracula, I Know my son in particular really enjoyed it. The Hotel is lovely, very clean and homely. The Gower also serves great food, there was a good selection on offer for breakfast including a HUGE full english, not forgetting to mention the evening meals which were also very good (hence the half a stone in weight I,ve gained) thanks to the Chef's. There is adequate parking at the back of hotel. All in all there is nothing bad to report. We would definitely return again.

Stayed here with my son who was doing the Ironman. Very friendly hotel. We would particulary like to stay a big thank you to the lady who was working at breatfast time and on reception, who went out of her way to help with directions to the air field. The rooms are very clean and breakfast was very good. The hotel did a light breakfast at 4.00 am on the day of the Ironman for any one that wanted it. I thought this was a very nice touch as they didn't have to do it. Car park directions were good and had no problems getting in or out. Overall a lovely hotel.and a brilliant weekend was had by all. Thank you.

Just spent two lovely nights at the gower. What a lovely and welcoming hotel. Went with my husband and another couple for a short break to celebrate my hubbys birthday, and from the time we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Lovely rooms, very well decorated and very clean, we even had a balcony with a sea view. The breakfasts were very good with a lovely choice , not just the full english, but lots of other options too, quite unusual to get this. They also have a happy hour from four until seven and that was very popular, the bar was always full. Would highly recommend, and would not hesitate to return to this quality and value for money hotel.

Room Tip: Try and get a room with a balcony they are so lovely.

we went for a wedding anniversary i august we had a comfortable room with balcony this hotel is in a good spot for people with walking difficulties and close to all the shops and pubs.
when we returned to this place on sat 18th aug 2012 about 10.40 we noticed that keys to the rooms were left on the front desk with no one in site to see who picked them up my husband commented on this and mentioned this to the bar man.
in the morning we learned that a car had been stolen from the car park at the back of the hotel someone had picked a set of keys up from the front desk and entered the room and took car keys and money and drove the car to llanelli where the police caught them.
be aware this hotel is nice but security is disgusting.

In the circumstances we are bound to respond to such a harsh and unfair review .
We take great offence to the above statement that security is ‘terrible’ and regard such an accusation as strongly offensive.

We at The Gower Hotel take security issues extremely seriously!!!

We are a little confused by the guests statement that there was no-one on site and yet the issue was taken up with the barman (?), who was therefore ‘On-site’. We must point out that there is always someone on-site even when we have locked up and that is why we have an emergency phone number which is given to the guests upon arrival along with the unique code to gain access after we close. Thus allowing anyone who has been locked out to regain entry. The keys left out for the guests are in full vision of the high quality CCTV as are both car parks and interior of the hotel.

It was in fact because we have such excellent CCTV surveillance that the villains were caught and action against the robbery was taken so swiftly leading to their arrest whilst still making a getaway. Also we must add that no money was taken.

We have had much debate about the best way to for guests to return into the premises at night and in 13 years this has always been the best policy with no incident of this nature ever previously occurring. By leaving the keys with us they do not get lost for anyone in the street to pick up and gain access to the hotel. Also in case of emergency it is vital that by checking the keys we are able to tell who is in or out of the building. However, since this incident, we have now changed the policy to tell people that if they will be returning late to the hotel to take their keys with them.

We were rather saddened to have been given such a harsh review, particularly when nothing was said to us by these guests at the time and when the security of this family was not affected in any way.

We believe that the robbery would have occurred despite the keys being left out or not due to the unique nature and circumstances of the case. Obviously, which cannot be disclosed here.

All guests are told upon arrival that the keys would left out to collect when coming in late at night and this was confirmed by these particular guests who were perfectly comfortable with this. If guests weren't comfortable with that arrangement we would alway let the guests take the key and make a note that it had been taken for fire and emergency reasons. Indeed, these guests who have left the review left their keys with us without question and understood why the procedures we have are in place and collected their keys without incident.

We are fully committed to guest and staff security and bitterly resent accusations of this kind and will deal with any breach of security in the strongest terms.

Nice, clean hotel, recently refurbished. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Let us keep our car there all day even though we checked out at 11.00am. Had family room over looking the sea! Great choice of breakfast menu. Good value for money. Only downside was the SANDS nightclub, approx. 50 yards down the road from our window. Kept us and our son awake until 2.30am.

Room Tip: Maybe choose a room at back of hotel if you don't want the noise from the nightclub
