“Excellant stay ! I would recommend !!”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

I was very worried when I read the reviews before we went but they couldn't be more wrong ! I went with my family ( hubby and 3 children aged 4, 7, 9) and was pleasantly surprised ! The women in reception was lovely and very helpful, the caravan was very clean there isn't parking outside caravan but you be honest it's safer for the kids and the car park was 30 second walk away ! The entertainer Jim was very funny and the kids looked forward to the childrens club every night ! Its centrally located for Saunders Foot, Tenby ( 10 mins in car max )Folly farm and Blue lagoon water park ! I would definitely go there again

Just come back from our stay in valley grove (Sunnyvale) bungalow. The only thing good I can say is the rooms were very large. The first thing we noticed was the terrible damp smell in every room. The smell from the dish washer was terrible, same with the bath and showers. There was sand left in the bath, whiskers in the wash basin. Surfaces were extremely dusty, mould on the blinds, holes in the curtains. The so called conservatory was nothing more than a lean too put together with cheap mdf and a plastic corrugated sheet for a roof. The television was nice looking it the remote had most he buttons missing. The mini market well is pathetic and should be demolished along with the bungalows and rebuilt. To say this holiday park is a total let down is a understatement and should be avoided unless you are totally desperate.

Stopped here for a week instead of our usual Haven holiday as it was much cheaper. Yes we knew it wouldn't have the same amenities if the weather was bad but took a risk. Well situated to explore the area, close to Saundersfoot, Tenby and Wiseman's Bridge. Caravan and park clean but we were next to the road which was surprisingly noisy. I had asked for a van away from the road after reading another review but my request hadn't been granted. Only other complaint was the parking. You were allocated a numbered parking space which was OK if it was in the road near your caravan but extremely tight if like me you were in the little car parks, especially when full.

Booked a week at Sunnyvale for myself, wife and child (age 6) we stopped in caravan 41 which we paid extra for but I felt this was poor value for money. The folding bed in the lounge was rusty and wouldn't work so if my eldest son had joined us as arranged then we would have been a little stuck. The kettle didn't work and the grill tray was too small for the grill and the seating looked a little worn, dated and fairly smelly. The park itself is small but clean as is the pool and club and the shop was adequate. The club entertainment for kids was a real plus and our little boy joined in every evening and was fully entertained and the food sold was very nice and fairly reasonable as were the drink prices.I felt the only downside to the club was the bar staff who were miserable and not very warm in personality which is a real shame as the club entertainment is something that Sunnyvale has got right and your kids will love it and so will you as it gives you time to relax whilst they engage in games, dancing and competitions. Deakin family give your customers a smile and show some interest in them and they will be back and please take this as constructive criticism. I am thinking of going again next year if only to once again admire the beautiful beaches and surrounding scenery and lovely Welsh people and if stopping at Sunnyvale will gladly give the owners one of my smiles if they can't produce one! Just returned from a fortnight at sunnyvale, If you want a large caravan park then this is not for you however if you want a small warm friendly park then this is the place for you.The only down side to our holiday was the weather.
the caravan was excellent, we enjoyed the cabaret's the quizes and of course the Bingo, hats off to Jim the entertainer he was very good entertaining the children and just as good at entertaining the adults, keep up the great work.

This site is so dated.
The caravan was awful, the oven was broken, it wouldn't shut, the extractor was falling down, and inside their was a part that was hanging into the flame setting on fire!
There was mould all over the light switches and blinds.
The pull out bed was covered in rust and the frame was bent.
It obviously wasn't cleaned as there was rizzla papers under the bed, dust everywhere and tissues behinds the sofa backs.

My wife had booked a plus bungalow at Sunnyvale for our family holiday. We arrived to find the bungalows were in fact 250m from the main site with a main rail line running between the two locations. The only way of getting between them was an unlit public road, used as a bus route with no pavement so we made virtually no use of the promised site facilities especially the evening entertainment as we didn't fancy taking our chances on the road at night. The first bungalow had an over-powering smell of damp and while the bathroom and bedrooms had been revamped the kitchen boasted a rusty cooker, and general fit that I haven't seen since student days. There was no cupboard space and the plates were too big for the cupboard door to close. When we went to complain we found reception closed two hours after it opened for check in and we had to hunt for a member of staff. We were offered two other bungalows and after a days travelling decide to accept the least worst, though again there was an overwhelming smell of damp which a combination of open windows on good days and copious amounts of cash in the coin meter to feed the heating were unable to shift. Nobody bothered to check we were ok and we were left to shift bedding, furniture and utensils between the three bungalows to make the best of what was on offer. In the process we discovered items of a personal nature left by a guest that cast doubt on the cleaning regime! Elsewhere there were nails sticking out of furniture and on our second morning we had not long got up when a picture crashed down onto the bed where we had just been sleeping. It had been hung by the frame on a nail with the proper fixings supplied by Wilkinsons still taped to the back and obviously too much trouble to use! Pembrokeshire is one of the most beautiful parts of Britain but this site typifies the low rent nature of the tourist offering repeated just down the road in much if Saundersfoot, which means the local economy will never benefit in the way other places from Padstow to Southwold have.
