Found this gem completely by accident after a lovely winters walk along the beach with our dog. We were greeted with a nice smile from the young people who were working that day. We ordered one large and one small breakfast that both came with toast and cuppa tea and coffee. The food was hot and plentiful. Shout out to the two young ladies and the young man who were serving who did a grand job they even brought Stan (our dog) a cut up sausage in a dog bowl. Great place well worth a visit

Service very friendly and staff were very helpful. Only had hot chocolate and cake but had lots of gluten free cakes - not just the bog standard brownie.
The best bit after ordering a gluten free cake and a hot chocolate, the hot chocolate cake with a gluten free cookie on the side - never has this happened before.
Didn’t order breakfast but lots of gluten free options.
Nice atmosphere and as a local I will definitely be back.

First visit since the new owners took over and we very pleased with our lunch. Staff very friendly and helpful and the food was generally good, the coffee was a bit weak but this was not a major issue. Good value and well worth a visit.

Called in for a coffee.Lovely and warm inside.
Nice welcome from the friendly staff.Lots of people eating, too early for us to have lunch.Specials up on a chalk board......bowl of chilli with fries or wedges at £7.95 looked very inviting when another customer ordered it.
Coffee could have been hotter, but it was warm and wet.
Seemed very generous portions, must try the food.

Walking down the Strand we were not sure about this Café, I guess the name Tramway Café does raise a question on what to expect. Nothing to worry about though. A very friendly welcome with a good choice of food and drinks. There were books about the history of the Strand and why it's called the Tramway, plenty of regulars, a great choice of breakfasts and some lovely cakes. Well worth a visit.
