“When can I return ?”
Reviewed September 29, 2010

Last minute decision to visit area, friendly response on phone, and when I arrived pot of tea and wood stove in comfy lounge.
large room, and nothing was too much trouble, from advising where to visit to eat , walk, or just to sit and chat.
Breakfast - lovely, as much toast to follow superb cooked breakfast as you could eat, and very friendly - most guests were on return visits.
Family run, and yes you were made to feel like one of their friends - as a single female - can't fault it.

Stayed for one night in this hotel. On first impressions this place right from the entrance was very tired and shabby. Chose this hotel as a last minute weekend break. It was Wales tourist board recommended, thought cant be bad. We were given a decent family room with quite a few amenities. After checking in we went down to the beach and the small town area. Upon our return,we staight away noticed foul sewage smell in the room. This stench was so strong we had to dash out of room. On informing the reception, the owner himself came upstairs with a drain plunger and tried to clear the drains. On my insisitence they changed our room and we were given a double room. This was okay. The ensuite had a shower cubicle and a small corner wash basin and a toilet pushed right into the eaves. The cubicle was very small and the inside of the frame was full of mould and the shower was a trickle only. Even this water would not drain from the shower tray. The hand basin was cracked though not leaking. The bed was only springs and no cushion. We were glad we were staying for one night only. Next morning at breakfast we got orange squash instead of juice. My toast with eggs was burnt. The only good thing to say was the landlady was good and understanding. The female staff was very good and friendly and curteous. It was this female staff that made this experience bearable. IN SHORT THIS HOTEL NEEDS THE HOTEL INSPECTOR TO VISIT THEM URGENTLY. NEVER VISIT AGAIN. Can we please have our money back.
