This appeared to be a lovely looking property from the description given by the cottage companies that advertise this. The pictures given do match the description. However what you are not told is:
The views out of the main room and bedroom windows look out on to the communal bins for the flats and the pub. Because the staff of the pub do not seem to mind putting full bin bags next to the bins, the seagulls pull them apart and the rubbish is strewn all over the ground and left there.
The flat also backs on to a fish and chip shop and the pub courtyard - which is consequently noisy.
The staff of both of these establishments also park on the double yellow lines of the private car park that is supposed to be just for the flats. They arrive early and leave late making lots of noise as they do so.
The flat is also more of a shell. If you scratch the surface it is actually quite hard to cook a meal - no potato masher for example. It does not appear that much care and attention has gone in to what people might actually need. They did not even provide any hand soap in the bathrooms, which I have had provided from previous holiday rentals of this standard.
Unusually also just a TV. No DVD player with any films, no books or games. It is a three bed family property? Surely some extra thought would not be too much hard work? Not even much information about the local area. Just a lot of out of date stuff.
It was fantastic to see Pembrokeshire and Saundersfoot itself is lovely But not keen at all on where we stayed.
