I went to Taff Valley Quads yesterday. It's difficult to sum up the amount of enjoyment that a mate and I had - to try and sum up...
We went for an hour and a half(cost £36.50 each). There was myself with a mate. We had our own instructor as there was another party of about 10 people with varying degrees (less experience than us) of ability who went off with another instructor.
Our group safety briefing lasted about 10 mins - we were tested at the end of it, so make sure you listen carefully!
All the safety equipment was provided - boots, gloves, helmet and so on. One tip - if you have your own gear, then take it along to use, they are fine with this.
The Quad was a 5 gear Honda 250cc shaft driven machine that was able to tackle (with ease) the amazingly varied terrain. The terrain is so varied that it would be impossible to give a thorough account. We were taken through small wooded areas, with tight twists and turns - and lots of mud. In addition, we were taken along wide open fields, some flat, but lots of steep slopes.
I set the trip odometer before we set off - we clocked nearly 19km in our time out - a hell of a lot of ground covered I think!
The centre clearly caters for large and small groups of varied confidence/competence, and age.
If you are thinking of going quad biking you absolutely need look no further than Taff Valley...
