This hotel is clearly geared up for conferences but we enjoyed our quiet two day stay and would recommend it. The room was comfy and spacious, the food and service good and it is in a pleasant location in a quiet corner of the university campus, our room had a view of the Wallace monument but the extra we paid for this was probably not worth it.

Fantastic hotel, stayed in the tain suite, it was brilliant.
Cannot fault staff at all, they were very friendly, food was excellent also.
Room was very spacious and clean.
Will without fail stay again.

Room Tip: Would defo stay in a suite as its a lot more spacious than the gereral rooms.

I was here for a conference and was very pleasantly surprised. It is on the University Campus and can make you feel that you are back at Uni. But, the conference centre and associated accommodation are a quite distinct building on the Campus with adequate parking. The reception staff were very efficient. The accommodation was really very good, clean and modern with everything that you would need for an overnight stay - a bit like a Premier Inn. It was very quiet and my room faced onto a rural area of trees and grass. The restaurant was excellent and we had an enjoyable conference dinner. Breakfast was adequate with choices of cereal, fresh fruit and cooked. I'm not sure if I would choose to go there on a private visit but for a conference it was first class.

A management centre by any other name is still a management centre no matter how you present it. The rooms have furniture screwed to the walls with a study shelf and a small TV.
The worst thing was the soundproofing between room and corridor, very poor and listened to drunk partygoers shout and swear till the early hours.
It just doesnt have a nice feel about it inside and although we could have had the breakfast the second day we passed. First morning breakfast in a hall with no windows was like being back at school.
The food sadly came to same standard. Cold eggs, rock hard black pudding, folded together oven made bacon.
Toast machine would either give you hot bread or black burnt offerings.
For this schools report I would mark it "could do better"

This was my first visit to the management centre on one if the hottest days for year. So it's no surprise to say that my room and the corridors were incredebly hot all night. Almost to hot to sleep. No air con or fans left me glad that I was only stopping for the night. Taking into account the freak weather conditions, everything else was as expected. The rooms are basic and like university dorms, very similar to a holiday inn, are very clean and obviously new and well maintained. I was staying for a conference which was very very well organised and managed by the centre. If I was looking to stay for a holiday ... No thanks! But for a night and a well organised and run conference, this was spot on. Location, parking and meeting rooms are exceptional. I will be back again I am sure.
