“Wonderful”

This is an excellent visit to add to the tour of Stirling Castle. The guide knew really a lot about the place and since there were only three people in our group, it was an even more impressive visit. Most certainly worth a visit!

“A magnificent house at the bottom of the drive!”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Argyll's Lodge has a history that is wonderfully told by the guides, bring it to life. The lodge itself is a myriad of nooks and crannies rich in tales of how people lived in days gone by.
Add to that, if you are paying to tour Stirling Castle, its free to tour the Lodge. All in all, a fabulous experience.
Well recommended!

“Very informative”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

A very informative walk through history. Our guide told us not only the history of the lodgings but the people who lived here. Our only grip was it was rather too long. Also, it might be helpful if there were family tree placed some where so you could visualise better the many people who came to live here.

“Great guides!”

Fantastic for children as they are encouraged to ask questions and permitted to climb on the beds and sit on the furniture.
