“A GEM”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

We discovered Castlecroft on the visit Scotland website three years ago (2010) - we were so pleased with the exceptional quality of the guest house that we have stayed there twice a year since.
This high standard Guest House is extremely comfortable and clean in a quit location with easy access to the Stirling centre and all road networks. The breakfasts are always delicious and the hospitality is fantastic.
We could confidently recommend this Guest House to anyone.

Beautiful bedrooms with nice and modern decoration and high quality materials. A very nice bathroom with a large shower. A very warm welcome from Laura. We spent just a night there but we'll be back soon. As we came around 6:30 and didn't feel like going out again in the cold and the dark, Laura proposed us to phone a restaurant to get a delivered dinner and we enjoyed a delicious indian meal in our room! Laura gave us the plates, cutlery and napkins, and everything necessary for our dinner. On the next morning, even if we didn't have time for a cooked breakfast we appreciated the homemade bread and the fresh fruit salad. A place to recommend. Nathalie

We went for a romantic weekend away and yes, we definitely got one. Laura who owns the b&b is absolutely amazing, so helpful and showed us where all the great spots were to eat and tour. we loved it so much and on another return to stirling will definitely be staying there again. You must try the haggis served at breakfast (I was rather sceptical, but Laura totally changed my mind) - there is an abundance of breakfast selection, the room is spacious with a lovely view of the mountains and the top of stirling castle. very quiet location - and 15 min walk from the town centre... perfect!

Room Tip: book in advance as this little gem is too good to be missed

We spent the last day of our week long Scotland road trip in Stirling, and really wish we had more time to really enjoy this lovely place. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and spacious....we even had a private sit-out which we would've loved to use had we not been rushing back to Edinburgh....Laura recommended us a walk which took us thru a very pretty Celtic cemetery, some amazing views of the city, and finally a delicious meal at an Italian restaurant...the Stirling castle is a five minute drive up the hill, the perfect location!

We stayed for only one night, but at the end of of our Scotland whirlwind tour wished we had carved out more time for the city of Stirling and for another night at Castlecroft. Comfortable and spacious room, great breakfast, and a spot on recommendation by Laura on where to eat out for an evening meal within walking distance. We would recommend this BandB to anyone!

Stayed here on a long weekend in December 2012. Castlecroft is located right next to Stirling Castle. It is one of the nicest B&B we have stayed in. We had a room on first floor, it was very spacious with a double and single bed; it has a lovely en-suite with fabulous power shower. It was very clean, warm and comfortable. It is a 15 - 20 min walk along a footpath to the town centre; or £5 - £6 in a taxi.
The owner Laura made us very welcome and provided lots of local tourism information and tips. There is a wide choice at breakfast, the fruit salad, fresh baked bread & Scottish breakfast were all very good. There is a huge lounge with books, music, DVD library, open fire and fabulous panoramic views of the surrounding area. Laura and her Mother really know how to run a B&B and if you are planning to visit Stirling then book a room here!

Thanks so much for the wonderful hospitality of the macphersons. We chose this B&B because of the good reviews and weren't disappointed. Recommended. Very close to the castle and a short walk from the town centre.
