“Lovely day in the leisure suite”
Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

I spent the day at the leisure suite with my daughter as a treat. We were welcomed at reception and informed of all the facilities available to us including the swimming pool, steam room, sauna and spa .We were also given the times when our treatments were to be done , we both had a hot stone back massage and a full facial treatment and massage which were absolutely excellent. We were also given a 2 course lunch which was good and included in the cost of the day.All in all we had a lovely day and well worth a visit , we will return again.

We found this hotel by accident when we needed somewhere to stay on our way up to Aberdeen. We were pleasantly surprised to find it has a swimming pool and the restaurant was excellent.
There is also access to the top of the hotel where you can get an excellent view of Stirling.

Husband booked this Hotel for a long weekend with friends. The room was very clean only gripe I had was no information about times for meals and times for the leisure area.We had to phone reception. The food was delish and the staff very attentive.Could've been very expensive but we got a very good deal and our breakfast and dinner for 3 nights were included and you also get a bottle of wine when you arrived which you take down and have with your dinner. The day we came away a young lady took us up to see the observatory and told us a bit about the history of the old school which is now the hotel. Lots of information about the school in the hotel. Building a new hotel right next door so this will be big competition for them

Excellent location in Stirling. Very near the castle. Lovely room, clean and spacious. Food was excellent and the service in the restaurant was very good. Plenty of choice on the menu , food was well presented. From the restaurant window you can see the William Wallace memorial. Very friendly staff would stay again. Bar prices I would say are reasonable for a 4 star hotel.

Stayed for two nights. The room decor is a bit dated and the mattress was terrible. The bathroom was clean but a shower screen would have been nicer than the curtain. The restaurant was very good but some of the portions were a bit small. The hotel is on a hill and the car park is busy if you come at the wrong time. We used the pool which was nice and not too busy.

We stayed at the hotel last weekend and were very impressed - the building itself is beautiful, and really centrally located- we left the car in the same parking space and walked everywhere. Staff were really friendly, our room was lovely and modernised in a sympathetic way to the age and charm of the building.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends and family :)

I stay at this hotel regular due to work committments and always have great food and service. Nice rooms, Friendly staff and good leisure facilities. Highly recommend. It is a bit pricey, but worth it.
