Owner description: A national hero - a national landmark. The National Wallace Monument stands proudly on The Abbey Craig, outside the historic city of Stirling, and tells the thrilling story of Sir William Wallace, Guardian of Scotland, Patriot and Martyr.

However, there are some quite ropey bits of presentation on the way there. Visited similar attractions in Italy, with a bit more interaction, that haven't dated so badly. That said, it's still pretty good stuff, but I wouldn't make it the focus of a long-distance trip. Perhaps the steep fee had something to do with my less than 100% satisfaction.

Braveheart brought to life. A small coach can take the less able up to the monument. It is quite a climb to the top but the views are fabulous.

My daughter is attending the University of Stirling and had visited the Monument several times and took me and my friend up for a breathtaking view of Stirling. The Monument was being renovated and not open so that was very disappointing. The views were magnificent. I would recommend this.
