Description: Filling Station coast to coast American restaurant and bar, has been created by a team of people who genuinely love good quality food, drinks and good times! No doubt you're thinking, well doesn't everybody want that? It's true many people do, but we have genuinely struggled to find somewhere that actually delivers all of these things. So our solution was simple - let's do it ourselves, the result is Filling Station.

Eaten here on a few occasions. food has always been nice. Although the past few times the portions have been small and we'v been hungry again not long after.

On these occasions the place was always busy and we had to wait for a table. So maybe thats why portions were smaller than usual.

I will return again as my kids love eating here!

Very dissapointed, service was slow, meals were well below expectations and very pricey. Group of six with everyone in the party of the same mind. Two of the main meals ordered were supposed to be the same - but came with different side salads. Pizza came half cooked and soggy base. Service was slow and no follow up to see if everything was ok - given the meals supplied I wasn't surprised at this. I certainly won't be back and would advise potential diners not to touch it with a bargepole.

We missed the obvious street for variety in eateries in our rush to get to the centre of the town. There were very few larger (ie, 'safer') eateries so we went for franchise. Bad mistake.
The universally young staff were very pleasant and engaging. Lots of over familiarity and cliché but.. Hey.

We had a brief wait for a table so started with two glasses of Chardonnais. £8.00 straight off.

We ordered from a staggeringly calorific menu. Chicken Caesar wrap and Beefburger with 'pulled Pork'. It was nothing of the sort. A kind of damp, tasteless slurry of pork covered a bland burger. Large processed chips and a bowl of coleslaw. Bowl? Thimble.

Having waited a considerable time, the meals arrived. Lukewarm. Lots of genuine apology and a further half hour before the food finally came back. Recooked but with the wrong chips and no coleslaw. . . More booze.

We were told by the young woman who was 'Looking after you guys today'.. (argh!) that 'all the kitchen staff left last week and the new chef was, 'Doing his best'... Hmmm.

They gave us a very generous discount of approximately £10. We later agreed, however that this represented a mere two portions of chips!

Never again. Shame. Very clean and typically faux American. No complaints there. Just a bump in the road? I really hope so. For the sake of the casual and part time salaries that depend on the Franchise.

service was very slow a 30min wait from order to receive and a 30min wait between courses. Kids drinks were incredibly expensive at > £3.00 for a glass of coke which was 50% ice.
