Really good experience and definatly worth a detour. We stumbled accross this restaurant which was a stones throw from our hotel on a snowy Sunday night, we were the only diners (all eight of us) we were very well looked after by the front of house team. Whilst the set dinner menu offered great value (less than £20 for three courses) I opted for mains of the pate followed by the beautifully cooked pork schnitzel, with a cranberry and red current dressing.
All other plates had the care and attention to detail (very Austrian) and we loved the Austrian & Scottish mix unusual but it worked. We also came back for burns night which was a lot more lively but still just as good.
