We booked this hotel as we had an early flight from North Terminal. The hotel is easy to find and the rooms are clean, basic and the beds comfortable.
The staff were really helpful in explaining the transport to Gatwick.
The buses run every half hour to both terminals and cost £5 for 2 or £6 for a family.
It takes about 15 minutes to get to North Terminal.
We didn't eat in the hotel, instead took a 5 minute walk to the' 6 Bells' pub. Turn right out of the hotel and cross the roundabout. Go straight ahead until you reach the church gate. Walk through the churchyard and behind the church is a lovely old pub, with good, reasonably priced food.
We also booked the parking at the Travelodge as we were only away for 4 nights. The car stayed on the car park outside the hotel.
Overall, this was a very good value hotel and I would definitely use it again- especially if I could book again at £17 a night.

Check in quick, corridors and room clean. I understand the rooms have been upgraded recently and for a Travelodge they were nice. Went to bar but had to ask at reception for someone to come and serve us as no one there. Several people waited at times to be served there seemed a severe lack of bar staff. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was good and at a reasonable price. There was an offer on while we there for any bottle of wine for £9:90. The (H2) bus departs from the hotel to both Gatwick terminals every 30 minutes and is £5 for 2 people or £3 each.

Booked for one night before very early flight. Made the booking few weeks in advance and paid £17 for a family room. Room was basic but absolutely spotless. Large bed with pull out suitable for an adult. No frills, there was tea and coffee but no toiletries, which wasn't a problem as we had our own. Did not eat in restaurant but it looked ok. Bus picks up right outside but it worked out cheaper for us to get a cab and we were there in minutes. All in all no complaints, perfect Pitt stop.

Stayed here a few weeks ago following an early morning flight.
Check-in was easy with the exception of the check-in machine didn’t work and had to call for assistance. Room was clean and tidy and looked like it had undergone some recent renovation. Bed sheets were clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was a little outdated and had quite dirty tiles which needed re-grouting or bleaching. Otherwise excellent value for money and probably the best Travelodge I have stayed in. We normally stay in the Premier Inn but that was more than double. At £21 this was an absolute bargain.
My only pet hate was the £7 car park charge however we parked outside for free (4 hours max between the hours of 8am and 8pm) so as long as you are move before midday you are fine to park their.

We stayed at this Travelodge the night before our flight to the Canaries. I was very, very impressed.

We've stayed in a number of Travelodges when we've gone away for weekends so are used to the standard - but this was a much higher standard. Air conditioning, good firm beds, LCD flatscreen TV and all for just £17.

I would certainly recommend this Travelodge.

One other thing - if you are arriving after 6.30pm and departing by 8.30am - and you have your car, you can park free of charge on the road immediately outside the hotel - save a few pennies

Booked this several weeks in advance of flying early from Gatwick. We paid £23 for a double room.
We drove down from Manchester, parked outside the hotel and had pre-paid for 5 days parking (booked on line at time of booking room), cost was approx £47. Spent the evening in the bar and ate bar snack meal. Service was average, prices average. The room was clean and tidy with tea/coffee facilities.
We got the shuttle bus at 4.30am which cost £2.50 each to the North terminal.
On return just follow the sign from outside the terminal to the shuttle buses and look up Travelodge central. The bus is every half hour and takes you back to Travelodge. Our car was sat waiting for us where we had left it.
No complaints and would return to stay and park again if travelling from Gatwick.
