Stayed here earlier in the year for a work function and it was quite good. The hotel is very clean and tidy, my bedroom was well sized and had everything I needed.

The dinner and breakfast was of a good standard, the service was good and the drinks prices were about average for the area.

Overall, I would return if I needed a hotel close to Gatwick airport. Also, on that note, I didn't hear any aircraft noise from my room.

The hotel is very convenient for Gatwick Airport, less than a mile away with a frequent 'courtesy shuttle', which costs £3 each way--not sure why it is a courtesy and not really much cheaper than a taxi... The room was quiet and comfortable and great for a good night's sleep before a flight. But the public areas of the hotel seemed rather tired, and walking through the hotel to my room rather reminded me of a public hospital with offices and a smell of disinfectant. The carpets and walls in public areas were rather worn and stained--although in the room they were fine. My biggest gripe was the cost of all extras from internet access to breakfast and the shuttle which all seemed rather expensive--£18 for internet access I think. I got a good deal on the room so I was not unhappy overall. For a quick stop before and after a flight it is good, but I wouldn't want to stay here for any other reason.

Stayed prior to an early morning flight. Easily found a parking space. Check in was very quick and the reception staff friendly and english speaking.
We had a triple room and it was spacious enough for a family of 3. Shower/ bath products were complimentary. Enough tea/ coffee making stuff to have more than 1 drink if needed.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but the prices look reasonable.
Transfers on the bus was £3 per person each way but ask to book a taxi on check-in as it's only £6 each way.
Would definitely stay here again as it nice and convenient

Paid £49 for a one night stay on 30th Sep before a flight from Gatwick. Like many other chain hotels, you generally know what you are going to get, and this place didn't go against the grain.

Despite requesting a double room, we got a twin room - not a huge deal. Room was functional and clean, however (and one thing I can never work out), why aren't there more plug sockets around the bed - people like to charge phones, laptops etc whilst having access in bed.

We didn't eat at the hotel, service at the bar was ok, but the lager tasted stale. Parking was quite expensive, however I guess that's to be expected when so close to an airport.

Check in / out was fine without any hassles. In summary, I'd stay again if a similar price was available.

Directions to the hotel was spot on. Check was fast. No problem finding a place to park. We were however placed in a disabled room on the ground floor. Got backache from using the sink as it was set so low down for wheel chair users, and dangling feet from using the toilet which was so high up. The room was bright clean and airy, with windows that could open. We would have considered changing the room if we were staying longer than one night. The bar area and restuarant looked large and comfy, however we didnt eat in the resturant. There is a Petrol station next door, good for bottles of water etc. We followed the road across the roundabout leading to Horley Town Centre , but decided to eat at one of the many Guest Houses along the way. Prices were much more reasonable, especially the alcohol. Tickets for the shuttle buses are issued on arival and cost £3 each way per person. The shuttle buses were very frequent with plenty of room. We had a good night sleep and was well rested for our flight the following morning. We are happy to have choosen the Holiday Inn and will consider staying there again, but maybe not in a ground floor room.

Room Tip: Do not ask for a ground floor room.

We were on the ground floor near far end,as soon as we walked through last fire door it smelt of damp,on entering our room it still smelt of damp,so window had to be left open. Food and drink was expensive, service not that good as took 20 mins to get drinks and we were the only ones being served.

Stayed the night before flying to Florida. Kids are 17 &. 15. Got a family room & fibbed about the ages. Checked in no questions asked. Functional rooms. Eat before you get there though as the food is as expensive as you would expect.
