Langshott Manor Hotel Gatwick

Having the opportunity to go away for a luxury weekend with my partner we decided to stay local in Surrey and support our local hotels. We decided the Langshott Manor gourment Break would be perfect. On arrival our room which was a Feature room with sunken double bath, had mouldy shower curtain and the wall paper was peeling off from the ceiling. After speaking to the Manager we then got showen another 3 rooms , all bathrooms had mouldy shower curtains and mould around rims of the bath. I expressed that there seemed to be a lack of cleanliness of the bathrooms, and shower curtains?!? On Closer inspection not just any shower curtain but Primark Shower curtains!!. There is a severe lack of attention to detail here If you are looking to spend the sort of money we were, I would throughly recommend the Chain Hotel du vin, they have clean luxury bathrooms, and no primark shower curtains in sight!

The staff here are great. They are very friendly and helpful from the moment you enquire to the moment you leave.

I phoned for a price for 3 nights (£110 per night for standard) but when I asked for a childs bed as well they informed me that it wouldnt fit in the standard room. Before I could even breath she offered me a free upgrade to the deluxe room and no extra charge for the extra child bed. Fantastic, I couldnt refuse.

On arrival the staff were already expecting us and greated us by our names before I even said anything, yes I guess they didnt have many bookings and a child gave it away, but still it was lovely being greated like this as if we were special.

Over the few days I watched the staff great many guests and everytime they treated each person as if they were a VIP. The staff really did go beyond the usual expected service.

The bedrooms decore was of very high standard, with flat screen tv, more channels than the usual offering and dvd player (dvds available free from reception).

The one thing that really let the room down was the way they made the room into a kingsize. Two single beds pushed together with a sheet over. I have stayed at many hotels that do this, but usually hotels of this standard would put a matress topper over the two matresses so no join is noticed while trying to sleep. Even worst was the duvet, again two single duvets placed between 2 kingsize sheets. For a romantic hotel, it really did make you feel like you were sleeping in single beds.

We ate at the hotels resturant one night. For the standard and quality of food I have to say it is worth the price. They have won many awards and they are well deserved. The only down side was they offered no childrens options and tried to charge a stupid price for our son. Luckily I had spoken with reception the day before and the price was altered.

Over all this hotel is fantastic and a lovely place to stay. The cost of £110 a night is very good for the standard and the area. We have stayed at one of there other hotels and we werent disapointed at all by this one.

Stayed here the night before flying out from gatwick North Terminal. A great, great stay. Staff couldn't do enough to please us. Food great in the restaurant. Room well appointed, clean, with good facilities. We stayed in Epsom in an out building which had a traditional charm but still modern.

We got a really nice room for £130 and think we got an upgrade as it was our Honeymoon.

Great location to the Airport and the hotel arranged our early morning transfer.

Sorry, got to mention it....this is a real treat place as food and beverage is costly but in-line to the area I'm sure.

Gardens lovely too..

Wonderful to find a hotel ten minutes from Gatwick airport that is a beautiful Elizabethan mansion in a pretty garden with excellent service and lovely food.

We enjoyed an overnight stay prior to travelling to the USA for a 3-week holiday, and would highly recommend Langshott Manor.

We stayed in two inter-connecting rooms overlooking a pretty lake with swans. The rooms were beautifully furnished, and well equipped with robes, slippers, iron and ironing board and the bathrooms very luxurious, with Nina Campbell toiletries.

We received a warm welcome on arrival from the Receptionist, who quickly booked a taxi to collect us the following morning to take us to Gatwick Airport; then enjoyed a chilled glass of wine on the terrace served by Sandie, who was very patient in our lengthy deliberations over whether to have a cup of tea or start our holiday with something stronger!

We all woke early, so walked around the beautifully tended gardens just before 7am the next morning, before a hearty cooked breakfast to set us on our way. (We were amazed at how peaceful the location is, considering it is only 5 or 6 miles from Gatwick!)

A beautiful hotel, with delightful staff. We would have no hesitation in recommending Langshott Manor!

We stayed with a special package before our honeymoon and can only say that our experience was excellent from the moment we arrived to the tea & coffee we had on our return before driving home.
Everything about the hotel and its surroundings are special and we found the room, dinner, breakfast and hotel transfer to be first class.
Fabulous meal in a beautiful restaurant and this would recommend be a lovely location to get married in.
We would definately recommend Langshott Manor as a pre-flight hotel or somewhere to hold a special occasion.
Thanks to all the staff that made our stay an integral part of the memories of our honeymoon!
