My mother and I visited Langshott Manor for a luxury cream tea as part of a birthday present. My Satnav tried to take me down a bridle path but we eventually found the hotel at the end of a residential road. It looked very olde worlde from the outside and didn't disappoint once we stepped inside. It was full of character and very charming with exposed beams and a huge fireplace in the room where we had our tea. The sandwiches and cakes were well presented and delicious and we had a choice of numerous teas to try. Our waiter was very attentive making sure that our visit was perfect. The whole experience was wonderful and we walked around the gardens afterwards to see the ducks and sat by the pond for a while in the sunshine. I would definitely recommend others to try this experience.

We stayed here the night after our wedding night and were utterly charmed by the place. Though the access along the residential road with new estate being built seems a little weird, as a previous reviewer advises, this is forgotten in a heartbeat as you drink in the glorious Elizabethan fascia. We enjoyed the Catherine Howard room - beautiful with a wonderful balcony jutting into the pond/lake and the bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The only relatively minor grumble was the early hour at which we were awoken. This room is adjacent to the kitchen and you hear every footstep on what sounds like wooden floorboards next door at 6.30am. Not ideal on the first Sunday of your honeymoon! However this was compensated for by the Aylesbury ducks and tiny ducklings that we enjoyed from our balcony whilst eating a lovely breakfast. The gardens are also lovely though, given they hold plenty of weddings at this time of year, we felt they were a little lacking in colour and planting imagination. All in all a very enjoyable overnight stay.

We recently attended a friends wedding here, it was perfect!! The hotel looked good on the Internet and was even better when we saw it, so pretty. The areas in the main house were full of character and cosy. After the ceremony everyone spent a couple of hours in the beautiful gardens, we even had a game of croquet!! The meal after the wedding was lovely, smoked salmon, pork belly and chocolate tart, all presented beautifully. Our room was in the mews separate to the main building, absolutely gorgeous, a fireplace, little garden area, double sinks, flat screen TV, DVD player, books and magazines, nice toiletries by Temple Spa!! We slept very well, maybe helped by some wine and lots of dancing!!! Breakfast in the morning was a full english, with pastries and cereal which you could help yourself to. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, also for staying over before a flight from Gatwick, it was about 5 mins from the airport!!

Room Tip: I think they are all nice rooms!!!

We only spent a night at Langshott Manor but the hotel is full of character, the breakfast was excellent and the view of the pond with ducks was a finishing touch to a classic room. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view to the pond - or even better, a balcony/veranda

The husband whisked us away here for a romantic night as a surprise. Driving out of London I had no idea where we were going, and at first was a little disappointed we were staying somewhere near Gatwick. You drive down a lane with a brand new housing estate on the left and think, what the hell is coming up, but then you arrive into Langshott Manor and are blown away by the beautiful 16 Century house. What a stunning, quiet place. Beautiful rooms - we had the Catherine Howard room overlooking the pond with ducks pottering about. Dinner in the hotel was really good, and the waiter demonstrated very good knowledge of the menu - we took his recommendations and weren't disappointed. The staff are extremely friendly and professional - just what you would expect from this calibre of hotel. Loved every minute of our short stay. Only 2 slightly negative points. Breakfast wasn't great - overcooked bacon, and service a bit slow. And I would have liked more colour in the garden but that's just me being picky! We will definitely be going back and would recommend it as a romantic break from the bustle of London.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with veranda over the pond - nice to have breakfast there.

We stayed overnight in between Heathrow and Gatwick flights and it really was a pleasure from start to finish. Despite being between five and ten minutes to Gatwick the hotel has a real country feel, with lovely grounds. The rooms are well appointed, the food excellent and the staff couldn't be more helpful.

It is not cheap as an option for an airport layover but it is worth every penny.

I have to admit, sometimes you find a location or a venue which just makes you feel....perfect. Langshott manor is one of those places. Welcome, warming and truly stunning grounds with that make you feel part of history but appreciate the present. I stayed here on business whilst working in Crawley and the experience was one I won't forget and look forward to experiencing again. After spending some time appreciating the venue itself , the real treat of visiting langshott manor begins in the evening. In the restaurant. I can see why the food is award winning, I experienced a three course meal from heaven that HAS to be experinced. I could not recommend this venue enough. It's elegant, relaxing, welcoming and a real luxury. If you stayed here regularly, you may actually believe you were a King. Sublime.
