A lovely little hotel in the centre of Midhurst, with free off-street parking, good cooked breakfast and comfortable rooms (complete with robes and slippers for those who have the time to relax). This is the second time we have stayed here and the only negative this time was a noisy snorer next door. Recommended.

Hotel staff were absolutely great! Every staff member we met was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was hearty and delicious and the dinner menu was top notch, with excellent meats and fish. The bar area was cosy and we were treated wonderfully as we settled in there for an evening of visiting with friends. The bedrooms were very good, super roomy, thoughtful decorations with lovely extra touches like cookies in a mason jar. Congratulations to the Angel Hotel for such a good atmosphere and a restful and pleasant stay in Midhurst.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper and want a big room, choose room 16. From Room 14, though large and comf...

We stayed for one night in a suite for our anniversary, the room was perfect and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We also enjoyed the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, both of which were fantastic meals! We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

Stayed in this hotel recently whilst at cowdray polo.....main choice as it said it was pet friendly on website however when speaking to reservations was told they only liked handbag type dogs!! Anyway we booked in as we couldn't find anywhere else close by and although the room was large it needed a good clean! It was ok on the surface but there was dust around and dark hairs found on dressing table and around bath. We were in a front room was couldve been lovely but needed an update and it was really hot. Unfortunately we were right on the main street in midhurst so too noisy to open windows. I think the main thing it is a lovely building and could be lovely but my overall impression was too expensive as it is we paid £180 for b and b......

Dear Hayley

thank you taking the time to give us your feedback regarding you recent stay at the Angel.
I can only apologise that the room had not been cleaned to the correct standard, We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of all of rooms and have gained a reputation for providing a high standard of cleanliness.
you are corect in mentioning that we are located on the hight street and so we do understand that the noise of the traffic is not something we have any control over.
I am pleased that you enjoyed the atmosphere and feeling of the building.
With regard to your question anout animals, we do have four rooms that we allocate as suitable for dogs and we encourage smaller breeds that are as well behaved as there owners.I am sorry that you were not clear as to our policy.
I thank you again for your comments, as a business we are always striving to achieve the best experience for our guests and I apologise that we did not achieve this for you on this occassion.

The Angel is a charming little place in the centre of Midhurst and is full of character! We really enjoyed our stay which started with a wonderful Sunday lunch. The girls that served us were extremely friendly and nothing seemed to be much trouble. I would definitely recommend the pork belly!

The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and keeping in style with the original building. Good size flat screen tv and walk in shower which was very welcome.

Being an advocate of green tourism we were pleased with their little touches to highlight good practice including the play on words to be an Angel and remember to turn the lights off! All staff seemed very local and had been their for years. Their menu promoted local produce and we tried a really good selection of local cheeses.

We look forward to returning again and soaking up more of that traditional and local charm!

Great location, fantastic quality of food and service. We stayed in room 9 very clean, good size and a quiet location in the hotel with lots of daylight. Homemade biscuits in the bedroom, thick bathrobes, slippers and gilchrest and soames toiletries- nice touches!
The breakfast was fantastic too.. Smoke salmon on muffins ... Very yummy. They had high quality french yoghurts too!!!. The general manager is extremely friendly and made every guest special.

My wife and I booked in for two nights in July. The hotel was perfectly situated in the middle of the town in easy reach of the shops and the bus station. The staff were particularly friendly on arrival particularly Richard the General Manager who personally showed us to our room on the first floor overlooking the North Street.
The room was delightfully decorated and bed linen and furniture was clean and in keeping with the room.
Although the room was on the front of the hotel over the street, we were not troubled with noise.
We had to eat out on the night of arrival as the resturuant is closed on Mondays.
The following day we travelled by bus to Chichester where shopping took up most of the day.
Breakfast the following day was a delight and was served at a very respectable time.
All in all we enjoyed our couple of days away
