I was a little worried reading other reviews of this hotel, but can say that we were impressed. More YHA than Dorchester, but clean, warm, and with civil staff, it is ideal for sleeping before an early morning flight. We occupied 4 rooms and in all of them beds were comfortable and washing facilities and tea/coffee trays pristine. The hotel was very willing to print out guests' flight documents if wished, and advised us on transport nearby. They provide a free shuttle bus to your terminal too-- and all this for £20/ room upwards!

Room Tip: We would avoid flushing loo in the night-- two had very long refilling times and we worried about wa...

This was a rubbish place. small room and the ensuite was ok for a child. We rang for the shuttle and the driver left us waiting for one hour in the freezing cold. The windows were broken and one of them didn't even have a closer so was always open. it is cheap and nasty, not cheap and cheerful.

Room Tip: the best rooms are located at any other hotel

If you are looking for a first class accomodation with lots of amenities, do not stay here. If you need 8 hours to sleep in an inexpensive place convenient to Heathrow, it is fine.

Ensuite bathroom is so small you can barely maneuver, but functional. Room had an unpleasant smell, but a nice, functional flat screen TV.

Free Heathrow shuttle right across the street that runs every 1/2 hour.

Front desk staff helpful and courteous.

The only good thing about the hotel is that is close to the airport and you might use a free shuttle service. I toke a room close to the reception, very dirty! The toilet had an awful smell and the sheets looked disgusting. The internet is paid and you have to pay again after 6am of the next day! It is very far from the city itself, although you can get a free bus to the airport and the metro from there (about 1 hour to the center).
The staff people are nice, but its not worth to stay here if you are in the city for more than 2 nights.

My husband and I arrived at Heathrow Terminal 4, I called the hotel and a taxi came to pick us up, free of charge. That was really good since we stayed there only for one night on our way to the US. The room was clean, nice, staff are very friendly. And if you compare with other hotels price is really good. Our room was really big, could be cause we booked a few hours before we arrived, and they gave us a family room. There is a pub just 5 mins walk down the road, it is nice and cosy. I recommend this hotel, I will definitely go back I ever needed a hotel in that area.

Lets start with the positives, close to terminal 5, room was toasty and that's about where the positives finish. The bedroom we had was in a single building with 5 or 6 rooms in it across from the main reception area. The bedroom was basic, very basic and after a 23 hour flight was hoping for beds that were some what comfortable, we were let down. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the walls/floors were as thin as can be. Lets just say we heard EVERYTHING that happened in the room next/below us. We had a tv in our room but found that there was no remote, we asked at reception three times before they gave us a remote. The bathroom was horrible, unclean, dirty, just terrible. There was no toilet paper in the toilet next to yours and the shower was more of a dribble than a shower. Overall I wouldn't stay here again because I know for a fact that I could get a backpackers for half the price we paid, that would be twice as nice.

I think the rating of this hotel depends on whether you stay at the main lodge or one of the houses. I was across the road from the lodge in a grubby room. There were tea making facilities but the cup was very sticky and I daren't touch it. I had high hopes for a good night's sleep however as the bedding was clean and the bed comfy.

Unfortunately the building is not maintained and both the doors and floorboards squeak. Which with people arriving and leaving at all times as well as having to go upstairs to the toilet (there was a downstairs bathroom but it was out of order)

The staff were very friendly and helpful however and for a stopover where I just want to sleep for a few hours I would consider it again (having packed ear plugs). I would also try to get into the main lodge which seemed in better repair.
