“Excellent inexpensive hotel near Heathrow”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

I flew in one day from SF and out the next to France (thanks to schedules that didn't let me fly the same day). I wanted a place that had the 4Cs -- clean, comfortable, convenient, and cheap. This place met the test:

1) It was clean. No complaints about the room or the hotel itself including the restaurant. If you're looking for charm at these prices, think again. The hotel could best be described as sterile/modern but, then, isn't that in keeping with the airplane/airport experience anyway.

2) It was comfortable. I was expecting a fairly small room and instead had a room with bed, couch, desk, and chair ... and not at all feeling cramped. Again, just for overnight I would have taken less but not needed. The only complaint about the entire place involved the tub/shower. It took quite a big step (and I'm tall) to get into the tub and I was concerned about slipping so did it very carefully. Also, no real up high holding bars. Plus no place to store your soap/shampoo when you're standing in the shower. It looks like the expect you to take a bath since the supplied liquid soap dispenser (a nice touch) was also low down. And no wash cloth. But these are minor gripes. They also have in-room tea / coffee which is not often found in hotels of this price.

3) It was convenient. You board the 423 bus from Heathrow Terminal 5 and it is free (unlike the Hoppa buses which also serve this hotel and others in the area). About 7 minutes later you're there. The bus stops right in front of the hotel (and just across the street for the trip back). Check in was without a hitch. They have a restaurant with decent "chain store" like food. They also seem to have a dinner buffet (which I didn't sample) and a breakfast buffet which is completely adequate.

4) Cheap. Well, at least inexpensive. After all this is the Heathrow area.

One more thing. There are three Premier Inns in the Heathrow area and two contain a Bath Road address. The "Bath Road" hotel is not this one. It is further down (or up) Bath Road.

This was excellent, never been to a Premier Inn before, but would certainly recommend this one. We had an early flight from Heathrow so decided to stay overnight and arrived early evening. If anywhere else in the world I would happily have had the room for a fortnight. Large, comfy bed, great TV and Tea/coffee making, excellent bathroom facilities. The restaurant was great, we had the meal deal which entitled us to certain things on the menu at dinner and breakfast. Food great, service excellent. Noticed when in the bar non residents came in, and I cannot blame them. The staff were great, everything perfect. If all premier inns are like this, go for it!!

We stayed here for one night as we had an early flight the following morning.
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
We enjoyed a very good meal in the restaurant.
Didn't use the shuttle bus as public transport was fine.
Couldn't really fault it.

Myself, my husband and our two young daughters stayed for one night at this hotel for a trip to Legoland (it is around 15 minutes away).
Had a few issues which, once I returned home and emailed premier inn, then chased up with a phone call and l have received a refund for the room. Fantastic customer service, would recommend!

Hotel meets all requirements and excellent value for price and location, however word of warning if taking taxi from terminal 5 concorse,
We took an official taxi from the taxi rank in the concorse of terminal 5, half a mile down the road with the meter spinning like a roullette wheel driver tells us he has never heard of Premier Inn Terminal 5, I'm from Newcastle so why he thinks i know where it is beats me!! after another few minutes of conversation and the meter at £ 20.00 i take a photo of his badge tell him to turn the meter off and return us to Heathrow taxi rank, .... low & behold he thinks he now knows where it is ...2 min's later outside Premier Inn terminal 5, meter now at £24.50, when asked for a reciept he asked for £15.00 and foir me to forget about it ... give him a tenner (£10.00) and he was off .... In retrospect should have stood firm & reported him...
Anyway if your going.. here's the address & postcode for their sat nav's

We used this for a single overnight stay before an early morning flight from T5 and really can't fault it. Good deal price wise, easy to get to using the shuttle bus from outside the terminal, quick check in using their automated machines, large comfortable quiet room and great buffet breakfast - all the boxes checked.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere near the airport.

Room Tip: Even though it's close to the runway (we could see the planes taking off out our window) there w...

We chose this hotel as we had an early morning flight from terminal 5 and we would not be arriving until late the evening before,so we didn't need a hotel with all the extras, just food and comfy bed!
It was quite busy when we arrived so we used the automated check in - it was great, very simple a few taps on the screen & we were done. Our room was on the 3rd floor and I think it was about as far from the elevator as we could be, thank goodness our luggage had wheels. If we had realised it was going to be that far away we would have used a luggage trolley - there were plenty in reception, so it may have been useful to have a had a map on the check in screen so would could have seen that.
We ate in the restaurant, there was an option to have prepaid for food, but we decided against that as we would be arriving late & might not want to eat, but we did and the food we had was delicious - I had a pizza & hubby had the meal deal starter & main, he had prawn cocktail & steak (although he said the peppercorn sauce wasn't great).
What else can I say? Staff were polite & knowledgable - we were advised as to the options to get to terminal 5 - there is a free bus from across the road, or the hotel hopper which stops outside the door, & drops you right at the terminal - we did this for £4.50 each as we had a lot of luggage. The bed was comfy, the fan for the bathroom was annoying as it stayed on as long when the light was on.
We couldn't hear the airport at all, the only noise was the usual door slamming in the hotel (some people are just so inconsiderate!)
We would recommend & would stay there again.
