We have just stayed here for three nights on a Legoland package. The hotel is very tired and very unfriendly, the food expensive and nothing special! Best thing was the pool however the young man working there looked like he couldn't be bothered. It was also very busy in reception people queuing all the time. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Agree with other review about room being basic for four star hotel was shocked actually, but had lots of fluffy towels. Would not stay here again though.

We stayed here after flying in from Edinburgh and before flying out of Heathrow. The hotel was nice enough and worked fine for an overnight stay. It’s showing signs of wear but we weren’t looking for much more than a place to sleep before our flight.

I spent more time than I wish to admit trying to figure out how to get between the airport and the hotel. We would have just walked it but pedestrians are not allowed in the tunnel connecting to the airport. The reviews on the Hotel Hoppa bus were not great and several people recommended the local buses instead.

Local buses are free in the Heathrow area. 105, 111, 140, and 285 all drop off and pick up near the hotel. Between the 4 buses there’s a bus every few minutes to the airport. Bus took about 5 minutes to get to the airport and dropped us off at the central bus station which is by terminals 2 and 3. We had arrived at terminal 5 when we flew in which wasn’t as convenient but caught bus 423 from there and got off near the hotel about 5 stops later. It was more convenient going to the central bus station by terminals 2/3 but it was easy enough to use the local buses, free, and probably much faster from what I’ve read.

We stay over night as we were visiting London for the weekend. The hotel is very nice, the rooms were clean and very nice but the food was a let down. On Saturday ever we had no choice of veg , the only ones were a mix of set it and parsnip both were luke warm. If this had been better than our stay would have been very nice.

The front desk clerk saved us immensely! We only had 4 hours to sleep as we were within our 36 hour and 4 airport transfer adventure. He kindly booked us a room and helped us to secure a very early morning transfer to the airport. Location was key because it was so close to the airport and the rates were affordable.

We booked this hotel as part of a “2 Park Days For The Price Of One and Night In A Hotel” deal through Thorpe Breaks. We chose Park Inn Heathrow as we stayed there as part of the same deal 2 years ago and were given a suite as we didn’t specify a room type.

However, we booked a standard double room on this occasion (8th-9th August 2018) and the room we were given wasn’t great. Our key card didn’t work which meant we had to travel down three floors to go back to reception and on explaining the issue, were asked “Did you have it near a phone?” Which we hadn’t, the receptionist then swiped it and handed it back and assured us that it would work.

Upon our return, the room seemed clean enough although the shower head was only fitted on a bracket at around waist height and my partner noticed that there were stains on the wall next to the bed.

We were both very tired from a long drive and day spent at Thorpe Park that we decided to just deal with it and we don’t like to make a fuss and felt a little offput to raise any concerns with the reception staff as our previous exchange with the receptionist regarding our key card made us feel patronised and like we were being a burden.

On the morning of our departure, we were woken at 7AM by the room phone which was our “wake up call” which we hadn’t requested. The brief conversation I had with the receptionist went like this:

Me: Hello?

Receptionist: Hello, this is your wake up call. 7 o’clock.

Me: Oh, Umm...we didn’t ask for one.

Receptionist: Oh, ok. Sorry.

I mentioned this while we were checking out the member of staff I spoke to didn’t seem very apologetic or concerned that it had disturbed us.

It was such a shame that we had this experience as we stayed again due to the amazing room and exceptional service that we had when we stayed 2 years ago. My partner and I are both in our early 20s and work part-time and this trip wasn’t cheap so to have had such a subpar stay was very disappointing.
