We booked this via a website offering a room and parking for 15 days for £89 and the hotel was a 'mystery' until after we had booked. The hotel was easy to find; straight off the M4 motorway and when we checked in we were offered a package for an extra £40-ish to include 2 full breakfasts, an upgraded room and a taxi to the airport. We said yes to this and had a nice big room with a very comfortable bed. Extra days parking were £12.00.

When we got back to Heathrow after our holiday, the taxi was less than £10 so it is convenient for the airport. The hotel had moved our car from one bit of the car park to another, but this wasn't a problem and they were efficient when we came back to collect the car.

A good place to stay before your flight.

I was forced to stay overnight at London Heathrow due to weather disruption, so the airline arranged this overnight stay for my colleagues and myself. The rooms were comfortable, slept ok, dinner and breakfast were fine. Some of the team tried out the gym and pool and it seemed ok as well. Reception staff were helpful and sorted us without any fuss. Its a 30-45 min bus ride to Heathrow. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so its really only an overnighter while awaiting connecting flights at Heathrow. It was great for our purpose but I wouldnt book a holiday at it. Yes, the hotel is fine but its not convenient to London city centre. We didnt pay for the rooms, AirFrance were obliged to pick up the tab for our stay but the advertised price at reception was exorbitant, approx £250 per room per night! It felt like a 4-star hotel and I have no complaints.

We stayed for two nights in total because of the recent snow disaster at Heathrow. Do shop around for a good price - someone we spoke to only paid £45 for a room. I paid £89 including 15 days parking but no breakfast through APH but then had to pay £120 two days later with breakfast. As I said, the hotel was COLD. We asked the Reception staff to turn the heating up and the pompous guy on reception argued with us saying that in his opinion it wasn't cold - why did all the guests wear jackets?? You even had to eat with your jacket on. Our room was cold as well - had to get under the covers with clothes on to keep warm. We left our car but as we had to return to the hotel because of the snow we asked the snotty Consiere if we could just take 5 minutes to get back into the car to collect our warmer jackets (we were supposed to be going to India hence we only had light clothes on). He said if we went back to the car we would have to move it off the premises! How's that for customer service? Luckily the concierge in the evening was more amenable.
Typical high prices in the bar - £7.35 for a shot of vodka/gin/brandy etc. (not including the mixer at £1.25). There is a lovely pub (The Plough) on the corner to the left of the entrance gates - good food and plenty of it, friendly staff and decent prices (pity they don't have rooms because I would definitely have booked a room).
Best thing about the hotel is its location for the airport.

No problems really with the hotel. Nice lobby.
We booked on the executive suite floor but this room was not much different from a normal hotel room but a bigger bed. Not a nice view.
Full English Breakfast was very nice.
We parked our car there for a week which was fine.
Took the shuttle bus to the airport and I was shocked it was £4.00 each way - I would have expected it to be free! On way back check your getting the right bus as there are two holidays inn on sipson.

There was a sign at the check-in desk that said the room rates are £280 a night, though if any people actually pay that for a room they are being seriously ripped off. We paid £50 for a double (booked through our airport parking company) and that was fair value because the room had seen quite a lot of action over the years, there were bumps and scuffs everywhere, the bathroom was a bit on the grungy side, the heated towel-rail had been broken and badly patched up, the TV was an antique and the kettle was so dirty we didn’t use it. The aircon made the room either Arctic or tropical. The internet connector was by the bedside table and not near the desk, which was odd, but the connection was fast and, for us anyway, free. The beds were on the hard side yet the room was quiet which I suppose is the main requirement of a hotel snuggled between the busiest road and the busiest airport in Europe.

Downstairs there are bars, lounges and lots of rather sterile space. It seems popular with aircrews and even local residents, mainly Asians who work in one way or another at the airport. We didn’t like the pan-Asian menu at Sampans so grazed the buffet at the Rotisserie restaurant. For £19.95 per person it was fairly priced, though the food was just about competent - the one roast on offer was pork, a bit on the dry side, and the salads were pretty basic. Desserts were bought-in gateaux and a remarkably fresh fruit salad.

There was a slight problem settling our bill because their computer system said our room was unoccupied. We said, well, we are definitely in room 441 and they ended up rather grudgingly believing us. Even so, two minutes after we got back to our room they telephoned to check.

Our flight was from Terminal 4 and we had intended to stay at the adjacent Hilton but the cheapest DB&B rate we could find was nearly £400, Utterly ridiculous, so we came here instead. It was only a 15-minute drive to the T4 longterm car park, though for people who aren’t familiar with Heathrow there are dozens of opportunities to get hopelessly lost and thus miss your flight.

We left our car at the hotel for 3 weeks. When you arrive there is nowhere to park, you have to dump it. 3 weeks later we have a damaged rear lens and a bottle of milk and a bottle of shampoo in the rear door pocket. Who has been riding around in our car ?
It's not flash, only a 5 year old Ford Galaxy.
No response at all from Holiday Inns.
The hotel is ok, but don't leave your car there!

The family (2 adults, 2 young kids) stopped here for one night before a flight out of Heathrow early the next morning. The hotel is close to the airport, and has a shuttle bus (£4 per person) that runs regularly. We didn't hear airplanes taking off / landing from within the hotel.

The room on the "Executive Floor" was a decent size, and had a couch / trundle bed that was already made up for both kids to sleep in - which was particularly nice since we were arriving late. The room was clean. The water pressure in the shower was great. The only low point about the room was that the cord for the hair dryer was threaded through a drawer in the living area, so it didn't quite reach the mirror on the wall. Bizarre, but not horrible.

The night-time front desk person I dealt with was a "trainee" - and perhaps it was thier first day, because check in was difficult. The spellling of my (short) last name seemed to baffle him, and he suggested that I was at the wrong hotel. I had to write down my last name on a piece of paper in order for him to find our reservation on the computer. However, upon checking out I had no problems with the front desk staff.

When I went to the "business center" (two desktop computers in the lounge/bar area) to print up my boarding passes, I had to buy a voucher to get on the computer: £3 for 15 minutes. And I needed all 15 minutes, becuase I had to hook the printer up to the computer myself!

Overall, the hotel suited our needs of a place to stay before a flight to Heathrow. The room was fine and we got a good night sleep.
