“Nice hotel but very pricy and charge additional fee for almost everything.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2011

Stayed at this hotel overnight between flights. The hotel shuttle is actually a bus hotel hoppa which costs money. The hotel is near the airport which is a big plus.
The one main thing that I didn't like is that they charge for everything. There is no free WIFI it costs money and so do the TV shows. They have a restaurant in the hotel but it's priccyyy!!
Would reccomend for overnight stay.
Other than that the check in was quick and the staff were friendly and the hotel is very clean.

Thank you very much for your recommendation and especially for highlighting the friendliness of our staff and cleanliness of the hotel.

We do charge for WIFI, which is still very common in the UK, but we do appreciate that this is something that many countries are starting to offer as standard. Our TV is however completely free unless you choose to purchase a movie rental.

Best regards,

Rory Walker

I traveled to London on a business trip, on October 2009 and stayed there for 6 days. It has very helpful staff, spacious rooms and it's very clean (even though the rooms seem kind of old...). It has a very good breakfast buffet with great variety, served in a large restaurant, where the restaurant receptionist takes you to your table and brings you the daily newspaper. It has a cozy bar/lounge where -besides the drinks- you enjoy good music. I loved the view of the park from my window! It was very close to where I worked, but unfortunately far from the city center and the nearest public transportation is at the airport. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the airport every 15'. The train from Heathrow takes you to the center of London in 15'-25' (depends on the type of train you'll take). The hotel has a small gift shop with nice but expensive souvenirs. Also I think they overprice the Internet connection, they charged me almost £80 for a week. Overall it was a good experience.

I booked a single night through Hotwire and got a £40 room. Took the 222 bus from Hounslow West and was in my room within 10 minutes of arrival. There was no wait at reception with 3 people on staff.
Room was clean, spacious most importantly had lovely flat screen TV so I could watch the first episode of Downton Abbey season 2!
In the morning took the 222 again and was at Heathrow in 30 minutes. Much more economical and efficient than the Hotel Hoppa.
I have booked again for my next holiday departure from Heathrow

Room Tip: Room 405 was spacious, clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for one night prior to our flight from Heathrow. We booked with car parking for 10 nights which was quite good value.

The location is very good - very close to the airport and taxi was around £12 but there is a bus for £4.50 pp. We could see the airport runway from our window which was a nice touch.

The staff were helpful and friendly - our car had a flat battery on our return and the staff helped us out by bringing out jump leads which was really nice of them.

The room was ok. There were three of us and only one bed - the other was a sofa bed which was not ideal and only one pillow was provided with no extras. Also they only provided tea and coffee making facilities for two people - very annoying when they had a booking for 3. Found the room to be clean though so no issues there.

Another negative was that we asked for no wake up call and received 2.....

Overall I would say it is ok for a one night stay. Beds are comfortable and rooms ok but I would say more of a 3 star than a 4.

This place is like a small city - plenty of food choices and great people watching. The room was comfortable, and equipped with shuttered windows for dark & quiet sleep. The problems: Internet access ridiculous at £16 daily. No ink in the printer provided for guests, and hapless response from staff - "The new ones are locked in the office."

Stayed in this hotel as part of a 2 day Legoland package and was not expecting anything amazing as it was so cheap, but we found this to be a lovely and extremely clean hotel with lovely soft beds. could not fault anything, breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very polite and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. the only disappointment we had was the evening meal as the meat was inedible but apart from that everything was great and we would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

When I think of 4 Star hotels I like to think that they go that little extra and put in some nice touches. When we got to the hotel we asked if we could upgrade to an executive room which we got so this was nice of them. The front of desk staff were pleasant enough. The room had a nice flat screen tv and was fairly spacious for 2 adults. I think the only thing that let this room down was the bathroom. I think that all 4 star bathrooms should come with glass screens an not shower curtains as it is just cleaner and more hygiene friendly. The silicone had also started to go mouldy too so could have done with replacing but nothing major. We also got a good rate on the hotel through hotwire and we heard no noise from neighbours or aeroplanes so got a good night sleep. On check out we realised that we had left our iron and put in a call to the hotel. When the hotel came back to us they said that they couldnt find the iron so i suspect that it was taken by housekeeping. They have offered to pay for a replacement iron which we are now awaiting payment. Apart from the situation with the iron i think that I would book this hotel again providing I got a good rate.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to an executive room
