“Good value hotel close to Heathrow”

Stayed one night for business. There is a bus from outside heathrow terminal 5 that takes ten minutes or so to get to the hotel. Return ticket is £8.
Check in was efficient though I was given a twin room despite booking a double. I couldn't be bothered to change as it was late. There is a £20 buffet in the restaurant til 10.30. Service was very good and courteous. The room was a decent size and clean. Very quiet for an airport hotel. Air conditioning was broken and the plug in the sink didn't work but overall a good room. Check out was quick and the bus back to heathrow on time taking 20 minutes for the return journey. I didn't have breakfast but a buffet for a pricy £17 was available.
So overall it's a handy airport hotel and for what I paid for the night (£68) pretty good value I thought.

Great location and transport to Heathrow T1/2/3, getting to T4 and 5 takes a bit longer. Nice and clean business style hotel with decent bar and restaurant. A bit pricey but everything is around Heathrow. Very small gym which would be ok except two of the pieces of equipment were not working. Parking on site also which is a boon for those with hire cars etc.

Room Tip: Rooms facing away from the runway are obviously quieter.

I do apologise for the 2 pieces of gym equipment that are currently not working, and your frustration is equal to ours in the company that repairs them are awaiting parts so that they can be repaired.

Stayed here for three nights midweek.

Good arrival, friendly reception staff and quickly checked in. Room was comfortable and quiet although there wasn't much natural light and i ended up with lights on in the room nearly all the time. Entrance to the room was particulalry dark as there were no lights by the wardrobe. Bathroom was clean, but the drainage was appalling, both bath and sink took forever to drain. The pressure on the shower wasn't enough to power the massge setting on the shower head.

The staff were a bit of a mixture, some were really friendly and helpful whilst others were a real disappointment. On three visits to the bar, I was completely ignored by staff who were doing something else. Now I can understand that people might have other duties but would it be too much to say hello and inform me that someone would help me shortly? Very rude.

The internet is expensive at £10 a day. When will Holiday Inn get free internet? I'm going to start staying at other chains soon if they don't sort this out.

Finally, a tip. If you don't have too much luggage and don't mind a short walk, don't use the Hoppa. Use local transport to get to the airport as it's free in the airport area.

Room Tip: Room 2117 is very quiet and away from the main corridors, but it is a bit dark.

On arrival the receptionist was very pleasant and friendly she asked if we wanted to be a premier member this would be free and gives us 10% off drinks and meals and futher booking discounts,
she gave us a lovely room over looking the run way, room was very quiet and we did not hear the planes taking off. Every where is really clean.Bed were comfy we had good night sleep.
We had a lovely bar snack that eveing and the breakfast was good plenty to choose from.
Although a little over priced which would be expected for a London Hotel near the airport.
Also cost £12.00 to park the car.
Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was not nice at all... millions of fire doors too reach your room and bad location, but the worst thing was the cold water in the shower. It was not working. Internet very expensive and slow. Take your own power adaptor for computers because they will not provide you one.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on trip advisor.

I am sorry to read that you experienced a hot water problem in one of our bedrooms. I am not aware of any recent circumstances as to why this may have occurred or whether your brought this to our attention at the time but we most certainly would have attempted to remedy the problem immediately. On the subject of adaptors for computers, various types are on sale in our vending machines.

I am equally surprised that you feel our loaction is bad as we are the closest hotel to Terminal 1 arrivals as you will note from many reviews on this site. I do hope however that you were given clear and precise instructions on how to reach us as we can be confused with the 2 other holiday inns in the area.

Your comfort is of paramount importantance to us and we most certainly value your opinions. It would appear that we fell short of your expactions and for this reason we sincerely apologise. A private message has been sent to you on Trip Advisor so that further information can be relayed..

Just stayed there one night, using the hotel on our way to Heathrow. Excellent value with the parking included for 12 nights. Excellent and efficient check in, staff were excellent, explained about the parking. Really good rooms, had a few drinks in the bar, seems a bit pricey, but is comparable to all the hotels in the area. I will definitely use this hotel again when i am next fling from Heathrow.

Stopped off for the night after longhaul arrival.

Easily reached from Terminal 3 by H4 Hotel Hoppa bus, runs very frequently from outside the terminal directly to hotel. Cost is £4.50 single if you buy a ticket on the bus,£4 single if bought in the terminal!..... Not sure why this is but just have to pay it!!!

We received a very genuine welcome from reception staff. The staff were very calm, professional and really seemed to care about their guests. Check in was swift and we were on our way to our room. We were asked if we needed a hand with our luggage, which unfortunately, on reflection, we declined! We were on the 3rd floor and a handy tip if you do have a lot of luggage is to ask for assistance as there are so many doors to navigate! I fully understand( no need for a management response as to why there are so many doors!!) the reason is for fire but found trying to pull the doors and navigate our luggage a bit of a task, especially after a 13hr flight!

The rooms are very comfortable and considering location of hotel on a main road, looking out over the runway, the room was really really quiet.

All in all a great stay. Would definately recommend.
