“Diabolical food and service”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

The food was cold and rubbery tasting the way food is when it has been reheated too many times, and we found that all the dishes we had somehow tasted the same as the curry sauce /base was the same. the staff were rude, defensive and confrontational when asked about the poor quality of the food. They refused to replace the dishes with fresh ones. I work in the service industry and this is not how I treat customers. I do not know which was worse, the food or the service. Even if you are starving, do not eat here, go to Mcdonalds, its only up the road.

I went to Pind Punjabi last week for the first time there were six of us eating one member of our group had been there before and said it was ok and because it was local to us and fairly late 0945pm on a friday we decided to go there,
We had to ask for a drinking glasses as none were provide on the tables, and the popodums taht were ordered took 20 mins to come and that was because we kept asking i wouldnt mind if the place was busy but it wasn,t there were about half a dozen people in there,
We ordered 4 different starters and 3 main courses the starters came the base for everything was the same onions tomato and peppers to which they add whatever you may want to order example chicken lamb even the paneer( indian cheese )was made from the same base.
The panner was rubbery hard and tasted awful we called the waiter over and he looked at us and said there is nothing wrong with it after a bit of confrontation he took the paneer dish to the chef then came back witout the dish and said the chef said its ok there is nothing wrong with it,
Whilst eating what was left of the starters they brought the main course to the table with horrible soggy nan (pitta Bread ) we complained about that as well but they just didnt care.
When the bill came which they were very quick to bring they had not taken the paneer dish off the menu we called thw waiter over and said we would like this item removed if not we would like to see a manager, but no one came forward as the owner or manager we were only dealing with this stupid waiter all the time.
We decided to leave and left all the money cash on the table minus the money for the paneer dish they called us back saying it was not the correct money then they pulled the automatic front shutter down of the restaurant and locked usin so we could not get out,
They held us against our will locked up for a pricley sum of £10.
We threated to call the police but they would not budge .
We did call the police at first they said they were on their way so we waited 25 mins, then we called again as they were gettin abusive as we were 4 woman and 2 men and there was a group of about 8 men in there who were drunk and getting very loud and larey,
We rang the police again and they said because this waas a civil case they ill come out but it could be about 2 to 3 hours.......
We could not wait any longer it was already gone mid night so we ended giving the £10 then leaving once they opened the shutters.
So [;ease dont eat here and if you really have to make sure you dont complain about anything or they could be eating you.
Who knows how many people have been there but haave never left
