“Ok, nothing special”
Reviewed March 4, 2006

We stayed here for 1 night before an early flight, and it was the first Heathrow Hotel we've stayed in, but if we do it again we'll probably try somewhere else.
We got the airport hopper bus to the hotel, which took half an hour to go about 1 mile - very frustrating! If there are more than one of you definately get a taxi instead!
The hotel staff were friendly and the room was huge - 1 King and 1 double even though there were only 2 of us. It was really quiet (couldn't hear any planes overhead) and the bed was really comfortable.
Couple of bad points - our shower didn't work, they tried to charge us for things we hadn't had from the mini-bar and charged us for internet acces, even though when we logged on it said access was free. The charges were taken off however when we complained, although the staff didn't seem too bothered about the inconvenience.
We didn't eat in the hotel (the restaurant was very expensive!) so went round the corner to The Pheasant which a couple of other people have mentioned. It was ok, though don't go there if you just want a snack as the portions are huge!
All in all, it was ok, I just exected a bit more of a 'wow factor' with a Sheraton.

Not worth its 4* rating as let down by so many small problems that should not happen for the money they charge.
Booked a family room for 3....Only got towels for 2, no bathrobes, heating did not work, TV did not work, just 2 cups, 1 packet of biscuits. Although most of these seem minor and were sorted after 2 calls to reception...i wasnt impressed.
Food was expensive...seemed that the minimum was £11 for a burger...we went to McDonalds at night (a short walk away)and had breakfast in the airport.
Hoppa bus was fine for the transfer, parking in the hotel carpark worked well.
Will I stay here again..NO !!

I've stayed here at least 6 times now and it's a really nice hotel with huge beds and lovely rooms but we warned on Friday and Saturday nights the pool area is available for private hire so forget about parking anywhere or getting any sleep before 2am.

This hotel was a great stopover for my wife and I. While they only had queen size beds, they were really comfortable. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive to your needs. The halls are a bit dark and could use some repair but the rooms were well appointed. I would definitely recommend this hotel for short layovers, a 3 days or less. They have a special program where they will hold your luggage and clean your close when you return for business travelers.

We had an overnight stay at this hotel. The bed was absolutely comfy, you'll sleep like a baby! The only drawback is the lighting in the room. I prefer a well lit room esp. re-organising one's luggages. The cab ride is just 5 minutes away from heathrow airport and just watch out for a few cab drivers who will take advantage of tourist. The cab fare is 10 pounds.
The front desk staff were helpful in directing us to the nearest pub where we can eat at 10 pm. Overall, We will come back to this hotel esp in getting a good night sleep!

Getting things half right would seem to be the theme at the Sheraton Skyline at Heathrow. Every experience in this hotel had some part of it right, however small; from beginning to end. The first elevator looked as if it had survived a nature disaster with hanging wall paper and heavily damaged wood trim; it also clanked banged and buzzed. The one immediately to the left seemed new, done up in blue acrylic and brushed stainless and seemed to run better. The room looked horrific at first sight with large chunks of wall paper missing, shredded bed covers and a single king sized headboard awkwardly stretched between 2 beds and a night stand. The bathroom was, however, immaculate with new tile, new ceiling and wall paper that was actually on the wall. Of course, the water pressure was so low one had to literally stand against the wall to get wet. The breakfast, while expressive, was good. Dinner in the sports bar was awful, to the point that for the second time in my entire life I sent the food back to the kitchen and refused the offer of some another dish, given that my colleagues’ food was nearly as bad as mine was. Internet service was outrageously expensive and messages could be received but could not be sent – again a bad halfway situation. Given the reactions from the front desk, no one is in a hurry to move past half way. I will not be booking at this hotel again.

I stay at this hotel 3nts a week every week on business! Being a plat spg guest I always get upgraded and a free amenity. The executive rooms are larger than average, well decorated and always clean. The king size sweet sleeper beds are fantastic; you can just sink into them. The bathroom is modern with extra amenities and free water. The staff are always friendly and helpful. This hotel is one of the nicer hotels on the bath road. I used to stay at the other Sheraton Heathrow but now avoid it at all costs. This Sheraton is 10 times better. There is a spacious gym with new equipment, the cardio equipment has touch screen tv’s, so you can watch over 20 channels including 4 movies, which is great if your like me and get bored easily.

On the negative points the parking spaces are too small! Surely not average, it’s very often difficult to get in and out of your car and I’m always worried of getting dents from other cars! On a couple of occasions when functions have been on it has been diffident to park, but I have always managed to find a spot!

The breakfast is expensive. I have never eaten in the restaurants here so cant comment. However the Sky Bar is very nice and very tropical. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel; however the rates can sometimes be on the higher side compared to some of the other hotels
