We two ladies of a certain age went on a coach trip to Southport and searched out this restaurant for lunch as it is just off Lord Street. To our amazement it was nearly empty, but this did mean we had the undivided attention of the very helpful staff. My friend had soup and homemade lasagne, which she said were excellent, while I had steamed sea bass with mussels and lemon and lime posset. This has to be the nicest, freshest meal I have had for a long time. These were on the lunchtime special menu. Our waiter took time to choose a bottle of wine which we would really enjoy. All in all we really enjoyed our meal, and will certainly return - with our husbands, family, and friends hopefully. A really excellent restaurant - and very reasonably priced.

Just had a one night stop in Southport and visited this excellent establishment based on Tripadvisor. Really shows how "Trip" really does make a difference! Visited the Trattoria on a Saturday night and booked in advance which is essential. Received a very warm welcome on our arrival and offered drinks and a seat prior to our meal. A nice Peroni was thereafter consumed! Our table was quickly offered to us and the meal was delicious and very reasonable, as was the price of the wine which was not unreasonably priced...for a change. The table was cleared very quickly and the ambience very cozy. Cannot fault the Trattoria, exc service, great food, it has it all

Best Italian in Southport by a long way. Lovely home-cooked food and excellent, old fashioned service. You get the sense that the owners and staff really enjoy you being there. Perfect.

food here is excellent. Waiters very attentive and helpful. didn't mind taking photos of our party! The servings are plentiful but leave a little room for dessert as they are delicious!

After 15 years of not having a pizza in a restaurant I not only had a quality and delicious pizza but also had the garlic bread aswell.....Yum. The variety of gluten free meals was extensive I found hard just to choose the one dish:) The prosecco was light and fruity and my sister and friend's tagliatelle tasted amazing. Already booked to go again. Any coeliacs who would love a pizza or pasta dish will not be disappointed.
