We two ladies of a certain age went on a coach trip to Southport and searched out this restaurant for lunch as it is just off Lord Street. To our amazement it was nearly empty, but this did mean we had the undivided attention of the very helpful staff. My friend had soup and homemade lasagne, which she said were excellent, while I had steamed sea bass with mussels and lemon and lime posset. This has to be the nicest, freshest meal I have had for a long time. These were on the lunchtime special menu. Our waiter took time to choose a bottle of wine which we would really enjoy. All in all we really enjoyed our meal, and will certainly return - with our husbands, family, and friends hopefully. A really excellent restaurant - and very reasonably priced.
