Stayed in room 2 which was just up the first flight of stairs, room was small and compact but great for what we needed and great value. Breakfast was excellent and the host second to none, rushed off his feet but very capable of providing an excellent hot breakfast without any hassle and catering to special requests for scrambled eggs. For value this place cannot be beaten, yes it may be a bit dated but you are not paying to stay in a four star modern hotel.

Room Tip: Was asked to check our room first before going back to pay not sure if there would have been option...

Stayed here overnight for a wedding that was only a ten min walk away. We were greeted as soon as we arrived by the very friendly owner and he couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are fantastic value for money, they are basic but have everything you need and are clean. Just what we needed! Breakfast also just what we needed the morning after-ESP the carton of orange juice in bed :)

My friends and I stayed for one night as we were in Southport for a wedding. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and bright. The manager was helpful and friendly and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was really nice and he catered well for vegetarians. Would definately stay here again. Great value for money 10/10!

Sadly my room had been prepaid for me or I would have gone elsewhere. The door to my room looked like it had been kicked in, the room was dirty and cold with the curtains hanging down. A metal pole sticking out of the wall instead of a wardrobe. The shared toilet and shower was a surprise especially as the website states 'all rooms ensuite'. The shared toilet seat was broken and necessitated the need to hover!! The shower was foul and needed a good clean, hence washing in the sink in my room for 5 days - very unsatisfactory.
The website states fully stocked bar and bar snacks, WRONG, just cans and no snacks.
The breakfast was inedible, cold and undercooked.
The double bed was like many beds, 2 sections that join together, except these were 2 different types of bed that didn't actually fit together! Poor sleep because of the bed and the area so noisy, and the walls a very thin.
Drugs in the area were evident from needles in the area outside the B&B.
Single mother with 3 children actually living in one of the rooms.
Loudmouthed manager, who was quite happy to tell me he had been in PRISON!!
I know money is a major consideration when booking time away, whether for pleasure, or as this was for business, but please please stay clear of this hovel it was a totally revolting, pathetic attempt at a B&B.

What an unfortunate excuse for a B&B. Stayed for 4 nights in the smallest room ever, which the manager stated he was ashamed of. The TV was stuck on BBC 2 with subtitles and no way of changing it. I found two cigarette filter tips under the sheet on the bed. En suite had grime and hairs on the floor. One towel had large holes in it. One colleague found a piece of battered fish on the floor by his bed and moved out the next day. The manager didn't even notice he had gone! Breakfast by the end of the stay was inedible. Keeping food hot under a grill will burn scrambled egg!!!! AVOID

Was due to stay for four night but moved out after two ! The place was run down and filthy.the price was relatively cheap but you do expect certain standards however the room was small and what furniture was cramped into the room appeared to have been collected via a car boot sale!the curtains were hanging off and the shower was broken and the room was damp.i was told that a "maid" went and cleaned everyday-I can only assume she was partially sighted as on return on my first night I found by the bed a tail end of battered cod and I certainly didn't put it there!could run on for ages about this "hovel" however just don't stay there it's awful and should be closed down.

The only thing i can say that was positive was the friendly manager.. A genuine nice guy.....and that the hotel was near the seafront...
The hotel itself was shabby and outdated.. The walls were as thick as rizla paper, hence you could even hear next door whispering!the room was dirty and cold..
We could hear from across the road which has a halfway house, drug addicts and alcolholics aruging and fighting!
There were needles from drug use outside the hotel on the street...
Parking was also a issue with no parking and only 2 spaces on hotel drive, one space used by the manager!
The breakfast was awfull...
I strongly would suggest dont stay here... I payed £45 a night.. 4 nights payed up front... Wish i could have left and got refund....
Awfull experience
