“Idyllic cottage in St. Florence”

We booked Cartwrights Cottage to use as a base for a short break near to Tenby. It was our first stay at the cottage. When we walked through the front door the first impression was one of a home from home. The cottage is tastefully furnished, and we'll decorated. It was lovely and clean, and tidy. The kitchen amenities were top class, and to have a dishwasher was a bonus. St. Florence village is just down the road, and we walked around the village and visited the General Store. Everyone we spoke to was very welcoming. If walking down to village at night after dark a torch is needed. The Owner was very helpful during the booking process and explained everything that we possibly needed to know. There are no hidden extra costs either like charges for electricity. On site there is a pool, small gym, tennis courts and crazy golf. No problem with parking for the car either. We'll certainly consider another stay at Cartwrights Cottage.

“What a wonderful place”

Thank you for such a wonderful stay in Cartwrights Cottage. A true home from home. Very clean throughout with all needs catered for. Well heated throughout with comfy furniture and beds and a fantastic fully equipped kitchen.

The location itself is beautiful. Very serene, fantastic views, and great neighbours. Pool is brilliant, easy drive into Tenby, and a couple of country pubs in St. Florence.

Landlord was also very accommodating and helpful throughout the whole booking process.

Thank you from myself and my family. Will definitely stay here again.

“Fantastic base for exploring Pembrokeshire”

Cartwrights Cottage is on a small site with lots to do for families with children, from the tennis court to the children's play room, small park, swimming pool (my 4 year old grandson went in the pool everyday) and lots of grass to run around on. The whole site is very well maintained.

The cottage itself is very well equipped with everything the holilday maker could need, My favourite item was the dishwasher (who wants to wash up when they are on holiday). The fact the the owners provided extras such as dishwasher tablets, washing powder, cling film and aluminum foil etc shows their commitment to making sure that visitors enjoy their holiday.

There is also a shop within a 10 minute walk of the cottage in St Florence ideal when you are travelling with children.

Pembrokeshire itself offers beautiful beaches by the dozen within easy distance of the cottage and the owners have put together a good list of activities/places to visit which helps the visitors tremendously.

This year was our third visit to Cartwrights Cottage and we will be visiting again next year.

This was my first trip to South Wales since I was a boy, and this time I was introducing my young children (4 and 7) to the area. We had a fantastic time and were very pleased with the cottage, and the location. Fellow holiday-makers at the location were very friendly and the children were able to go out on their own to the playground, crazy golf area and games room. The swimming pool was excellent as well (and free). The house was clean and amazingly well-equipped (surpassing other properties I've stayed at). I was particularly pleased to find a bed rail which I was able to assemble for my 4 yo, I had completely forgotten to bring the one he has at home. Overall really pleased and would stay again.

Liked best: Cottage was clean and very well-equipped
Liked least: Beds could have been a bit more comfy and the advertisement said smokers were welcome (frankly that put me off, but there was no sign of anybody having smoked in the property).

I have stayed at Ivy Towers village before but this cottage was by far the best. The little 'welcome pack' of items that you normally forget was a lovely surprise. The cottage is well kept and all beds were made on arrival. The cottage made an excellent base to go and explore Pembrokeshire, we were lucky with the weather too. It was a bonus that dogs were allowed at the cottage also.
