I feel I should start with the negatives first and then move on to the positives. In no way is this vindictive but is aimed at being constructive and honest. I found the advertisement very misleading. This is not a Hotel but a B&B. There is NO free parking at the hotel merely free parking in the roads around if you can find a space. We were up on the second floor in room 5 passing through fire doors that had been firmly wedged open.

The chrome fittings in the bathroom ( shower screen, etc ) were covered in rust and not nice at all to look at.The toilet roll holder had been put in upside down and again rusty. The bath plug chain was broken and the enamel in the bath had peeled away revealing rust. The lighting in the bathroom was poor with no lock on the door.

The bed was quite hard but I suppose thats down to choice. The quality off the pillows was poor and quite basic. Bedroom furniture a mismatch of assortment though in fairly good condition.

Right..thats the negatives out of the way..now the positives...It is situated in a superb location on the Esplanade....over the road and down some steps to the South beach. Our room 5 had a wonderful view over the sea and toward Caldy Island. The room was adequate but nicely decorated with an en-suite bathroom/ shower.

Debbie was very friendly and all the staff work very hard indeed..The breakfast was lovely though smokey bacon is not to everyone's taste. The breakfast room is a little dated though very clean. All the rooms were full which means Debbie is doing something right.

We had only booked for 2 nights and was an ideal base for the town and beach.

Overall, a most enjoyable stay but a few pounds need to be spent to overcome the negatives and the fire doors should be left shut not open.

Room Tip: room 5 had a sea view

We stayed here for one Thursday evening in May while on a short break in South Wales. The owner Debbie was really nice and friendly and the views from our room were stunning. The hotel is ideally place for a walk on the beach, right on the seafront. Tenby itself is a great seaside town. Lots of nice restaurant choices and an affluent feel to the place. Overall a lovely place to stay.

My husband and l booked here for a couple of night's for our wedding anniversary. Beautifully clean and tastefully presented in an ideal spot on the seafront. We had a nice sea view too! Breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Debbie and her staff were very friendly...we even had a card from her which was sweet. Parking nearby was cheap and easy (you can unload your things outside). Certaily recommend. Wonderful stay...thank you.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The room (2) was quite compact, but had everything we needed with a great sea view. Breakfast was great and the waiting staff were very friendly. A good location, fairly quiet but within walking distance of everything you need.
