“Fantastic stay !”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Myself and my Son booked a 3 night stay at The Belgrave Hotel, at the last minute. This Hotel has everything you need. Our rooms were lovely with plentiful tea ,coffee and milk etc.A hairdryer, fan and heater also so everything covered. Plentiful towels and super tv with all channels. The lift was a godsend as i am disabled. We paid for bed breakfast and evening meal and were not dissapointed.Breakfast was from 8.30 until 10.00 and was lovely with a choice of porridge, 3 cereals, fruit juices. Toast, jams marmalade and your main cooked breakfast was, eggs, fried or scrambled, sausage, bacon which was thick and the tastiest bacon ive had for a long time, tomatoes, hash browns.Evening meals were also lovely with a wide selection and well cooked too.3 courses and enough to fill the biggest of apetites. The attention to detail at this hotel is superb and the owners and staff are lovely and so attentive, nothing is too much bother for them. The guest lounges are lovely and the large function room is great with nightly entertainment thrown in. This Hotel will appeal to all ages and myself and my Son cant wait to go back. There is always someone on hand 24 hrs a day and Chris the security guy is there to help throughout the night and is great even though we did tease him about his hatred of Pernod ! Mr T the owner and all the staff will certainly make your stay a great one. Lastly the views ! I have been staying in Tenby since i was a child and so have my children and this has to be the best one. Overlooking the South beach and Caldey Island. Pay the small supplement and get a sea view you wont regret it. Once again thankyou Belgrave Hotel and all of the staff for a wonderful stay. Also big hello to all the Sheffield posse who were some of the best people ive ever met.

Room Tip: pay a small supplement for a sea view.

The understatement is that this hotel could do with a revamp. It is tired to the point that it needs a sleep. The room that we were given was right above the lounge where all the singing takes place in the evening. So it is not the place to take your children as the noise was so loud at one point the window started to move or at least rattle. It was a tired old room and it had a bath. In this day and age to have a bath and not a shower is shocking. But it was not as shocking as the colour of the bath which was pink. If the hotel was a themed hotel by Wayne Hemmingway we would have understood. It is definetly a hotel for kids and we have a daughter aged 10.
The hotel is aimed for the older visitor who revel in the entertainment and the fact that they have people back every year is great but you only have to go to the lounge to gauge that. It must be pointed out that the staff was great and did help

A very last minute Saturday night break. Drove past and saw they had vacancies. A "premier" room was £39.50 per person which I thought was a little over priced for the condition of the room we had. Although the coffee shop and restaurant were nice, clean and modern the bedroom was very dated and needed a good re-vamp. Wallpaper coming away from the walls, windows painted shut, a pink bathroom complete with cracked sink and carpeted floor. There were lovely white fluffy towels though and plenty of hot water for a bath. The view from the window however was beautiful, A huge bay window which looked out onto the sea, beach and Caldey Island. The hotel is right on the sea front and minutes from the town. The breakfast was lovely if you liked a big cooked one but they didn't take into account vegetarians. All that was on offer for veggies was toast and cereal. Not really fair as meat eaters got the full works!!!!! As a local travel agent who books hotels for a living, I would go back there purely because of the location and the view. I would recommend the hotel to my customers without hesitation.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have showers, most have baths. Room 108 had a huge bay window with beautiful views.
