We returned last week from a wonderful week at the Haven Site at Kiln Park, Tenby. The weather was superb, which obviously raised our overall opinion of the area. However everything about the Haven site was excellent. Our caravan was brand new, perfectly clean and well equipped. The entertainment on site was family based, but we still enjoyed it as a couple. Everywhere on the site was clean and we did not see one bit of litter and damaged property. Tenby town centre was only a 1o minute walk away via footpath or about 15 minutes when walking along the beach.
All the staff at the site were friendly and welcoming, there was always a good security presence (they were all approachable and friendly) which made the site feel safe and secure and family friendly.
We would recommend this site for couple and families alike. If have time reach time via the roads around the Brecon Becons rather than the M roads as the scenery was splendid.
Only one downside was a train track ran through the site (about 20 metres from our caravan) but the trains did not run through the night, or particularly frquently, so caused very little annoyance.
Well done to HAVEN!

Room Tip: We choose a top sepc caravan, it was worth the extra!

Excellent stay at the Kiln Park Caravan and Camping Site in Tenby. Enjoyed a 3 night stay in a Prestige Caravan with 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Caravan was well appointed, immaculate and had great cooking facilities. Swimming Pool is new for 2012 and was really brilliant for the children, who especially loved the slides. Pub and Lounge bar were great. Good enterainment for all and children loved the themed characters. Food on site was good and had a Sunday Carvery at the Mash and Barrel. Staff at the resort were friendly and helpful. Beach only a short walk away. Tenby town 5 mins - although be mindful of the expensive parking! Saundersfoot was 15 mins away and has a beautiful beach. We went to Folly Farm and if you have chance - this is a great day out for all the family. Overall our stay was excellent - worth every penny. We will be back again.

My wife, two children (2 boys aged 6 and 3) and myself stayed for a week at Kiln Park in early July of 2011. After reading the various reviews on tripadvisor we decided to book directly with a caravan owner rather than go through Haven. Very happy with our caravan and dealings with the owner, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. You should deffo go this way too.

The park is great for any family with kids from the very young up to about early teens, we only used the outdoor pool as the indoor one seemed to be closed whenever we tried to use it. I believe that it has been upgraded and enhanced for the 2012 season, the outdoor pool did seem to get very busy at times and I wouldn't like to see it later in the season when the English schools take their holidays but was great for a spash about with the kids. There is a decent playground and tennis courts as well as playing fields for ball games and our two little ones loved all of the facilities.

The kids entertainment starts each evening at 6.00pm and goes on until about 8.00pm, we didn't stay after this as the kids were normally wrecked and had to go to bed. Do make sure that you go to the complex at about 5.30pm as you won't be sure of getting access if the place fills up before you get there. The entertainment consists of the usual kids sing along and dancing games. Again, the kids loved it but it's not for people with no children.

The beach is just a short walk over the railway track at the back of the site, really nice beach and also a good way to walk into Tenby village which is just lovely.

Overall it was a really great holiday and I couldn't fault Kiln park at all, I know some people have had different experiences but for us with the kids at the ages they are at it was perfect. The kids say that it was the best holiday ever and we are going back this July for another week.

If you are travelling from Ireland like we are, make sure that you sail to Pembroke as it is much closer than Fishguard.

I have been going to Kiln Park since I was a toddler with my family, Im now 23 and still go quite often (last time I visited was last August!). I would recomend this park for families mainly. Ive stayed in numerous caravans over the years and would suggest you book direct with the caravan owners rather than going through Haven...you'll save yourself alot of money this way. The park is located right next to one of Tenby's beaches and is about a 10-15 minute walk to Tenby town, where there are more beaches and lots of places to eat and shop.

Anyway back to the park - there is a lovely pizza takeaway/sit in restaurant which also deliver to your caravan, the restaurant (i think is called Mash & Barrell???) serves nice food, and is ideal to sit during the nights, there is also a Burger King if you want a quick bite to eat. There is a convenience store which has everything you need. Alot of the park has been newly landscaped, and last year we stayed in a lovely caravan with everything we needed, we even managed to have a bbq on 2 nights as the weather was so nice.

My only gripe about the park, is the passes for the club house. Unsure of the price, but all you get for it is free swimming and entry into the clubhouse, everything else you pay for inside!! But luckily we found a way of saving ourselves a few pounds with the passes ;)

Any questions feel free to ask me

We went to Kiln park in October on a touring holiday and we enjoyed our stay at kiln park. It is a very nice Haven park set just outside of Tenby witch is a very pritty little town, and the park is not to far away from one of the nicest beaches i have seen. The complex was very good, and lots for children to do on park. The only thing we had a problem was with the touring block you could tell as soon as you go there that it is very old and needs updating, the cleaners there were working very hard to keep the place clean but not everyone respected it and decided to make the place dirty witch meant the cleaners had to work even hard to make the experience for everyone else good!

We have just come back from a week in a touring caravan, thought we would go as we had been a couple of years ago and the site was brilliant but this time i must say that it has changed and not for the better. Unfortunately it had rained alot so most of the pitches were out of use but they put us on a very nice pitch with room for just 4 caravans, which i found very handy with a dog and 2 children. However when we went for a shower we noticed that there was a horrible smell coming from them and they were very dirty, My 2 children who are 2 and 4 found it very difficult in the shower as they are very powerful. There was all mould in the showers and the floors were very dirty, sometimes there was an awful smell that came from the shower and toilet block. On the upside the entertainment complex was very good and the shop was a resonable price for most things. I would go again but only for a week at the most i definitely wouldnt pay the prices asked for in the 6 weeks holiday as it isnt worth it.
