Used a KGB deal and were worried that we would get inferior room - we had a regular room with all the facilities required. Excellent hotel close to Tenby town and coastal walk - would highly recommend.

We were met by a lovely receptionist who gave us our keys with a smile but when we got to the room we could not get in but no problem it was fixed,as we were waiting to enter our room next door was open it was big ,so to go into our tiny room With small shower room no wine it was a bit of a shock
We could of got over that but the bed was so uncomfortably hard by the second day and still no wine and two bulbs had blown and asking twice to where we got them and put them in,we were pretty fed up.the shower cubical because of the steam was causing the paint to peal off the ceiling and the bathroom door has swollen. Not that I had said anything when I booked but I do have a disability but I have never needed to mention it as other hotels assume most people are of all ages I believe an older person clould not of used it . A bath mat was not given second day.
The hotel has no atmosphere so we stayed down the towns day Saturday then came back to use the spa, where found in dressing rooms no hot water and no keys to lock personal belongings in men's room.
The spa was ok as long as no than 6 people used it lucky enough though there was two of us ,we enjoyed the half an hour in there but not the getting out very slippery floors with out mats and having to get dressed without shower in the women's dressing room tip tip put containers on wall for allin one shower hair/gel
Would I go back to hotel NO. to Tenby 100% YES

Just returned from a 3 night break to the Heywood mount hotel. The overall experience was fantastic. The staff at reception and throughout the hotel were polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was large, clean and had everything you needed for a short stay including a mini fridge, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has a spa with swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna which we used every day.
We ate in the hotel resturant where the food was excellent and the prices reasonable.
Had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again.

A party of ten of us booked a weekend at the Heywood Mount in October on a KGB deal.We all had upgraded rooms with a balcony and all were furnished to a high degree and all were spotlessly clean.
Although we ate out on the Friday night we booked into the restaurant in the hotel on the Saturday, taking advatage of the £20 per head deal by reserving our table before 4 p.m.Every one of our party was very impressed with the quality of food and excellent service. We all enjoyed it so much that perhaps we dallied too long over the meal for the waiter's liking, not that we received any complaint at all.
Breakfast was superb on both mornings and we would not hesitate to return.

We just had a great weekend at the Heywood Mount. We had a KGB deal so it was excellent value for money. Everything about the hotel lived up to expectations - lovely room, great food and service. We had a great meal on the first night using the £20 per head deal for a 3 course meal as long as you reserved your table before 4pm.
We used the sauna, jacuzzi and pool which were fine for a rainy day but there is so much to do in Tenby and its surrounding areas that we didn't spend lots of time in the hotel during the day.

Just one small niggle was the price of the wine in the bar/restaurant - at £19.50 for the cheapest bottle and £5.00 per 250ml glass I felt this was overpriced. The price of beer and other drinks wasn't a lot different to pub prices but I would not have expected to pay this much for wine. I have not let it affect my rating as it is just my personal opinion and others may not agree or even drink wine! I certainly didn't let it spoil my weekend.

I hope to return to this hotel again

We did four hotels in South Wales over eight nights on KGB deals, this was the only one I would have been happy to pay full price for.The room was very nice with all you would expect in a four star hotel, a nice touch was french windows opening on to a ground floor patio area which turned out to be a real sun trap. The hotel has a spa which includes a swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna which we both enjoyed using. The evening meal was excellent: well presented and perfectly cooked. The waiter was very knowledgable about the dishes on offer and I am sure that if we had asked he would have been able to give us the name of the person who picked the vegatables lol. All of the staff that we came in contact with were very professional but also very friendly and it was they who made our stay so enjoyable.Breakfast was cooked to order with a wide choice of dishes available my wife had smoked fish and poached egg which nearly tempted me away from my full english.Once again i would like to stress how good the staff were and hope they are well paid because they certainly deserve to be.

Room Tip: Book your table by 16:00 for a special deal

We recently had a 2 night stay at this hotel 21/22 October 2012. What a gem of a find. Staff friendly and very helpful. The room was lovely with a good sized bathroom that looked as though it had been recently refurbished. We had dinner on the first night in the hotel and if you reserve a table before 4 p.m. you get a 3 course meal for £20. The meal was first class, we were in a party of four and each of us chose something different, every meal was excellent and my partner had a rib eye steak (£5 supplement) asked for this medium/rare and when the meal was served this was cooked to absolute perfection. They obviously have a chef of high standards. The restaurant staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast gave you loads of choice and all freshly prepared. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Will definitely go back to this one.
