“We'll be back!”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

We stayed at the park for a long weekend mid-October. We upgraded the caravan and it was absolutely brilliant - central heating, en-suite bathroom and all mod cons. Couldn't fault it. The park itself was great. A tennis court, swimming pool, restaurant with take-away, games room etc. The entertainment was great, and the children's entertainer made a real effort although there was only a few of us there. A real star who went that extra mile to make us feel really welcome. We visited Folly Farm and the local beach and Tenby itself. Plenty to do in the local area. We'll be back!

We booked this site 8 months ago via The Sun and was very impressed. For those who enjoy the cost of amusements and commercialism this is not the place for you. This is a very clean site with a lovely pool, play areas & tennis court. The caravan was spotless and of a lovely size. We took a trip to Tenby via the local train station which was a bargin. All in all a lovely refreshing stay and will definately return.

Room Tip: All vans look quite new so shouldn't be a problem

I was recommended Manorbier Country park by a work colleague and had also read all the reviews. With this in mind I drove down there to have a look around before I booked. I liked what I saw but did note that some of the tourers were a bit close together. So, off to reception and requested a pitch to the side of the main tourer area, was accomodated and booked for the following month.
It would have been nice to have received some kind of booking confirmation, terms and conditions etc but all I got was my visa receipt.
On arrival and during our stay the showers/toilets were consistently clean but a little dated.
On the 2 occasions we did use the pool it was clean and presentable. There are no lockers, but that said you can utilise the plastic boxes to hold your clothing so it wasn't a problem.
We didn't use the club house as we were all tired from long days out and about exploring.
The site is ideally located to visit the many places of interest in pembrokeshire and you don't have to travel too far to enjoy them.
There is a railway station only a 5 minute walk away. However, if your going in to Tenby by car, parking isn't a problem with the multi story charing 30 pence for 1 hour, 40 pence for two and so on.
I did encounter a problem when driving through Lamphey were what I thought was a garden fire was actually someone spray painting their fence.
It was only when I arrived back at the site I could see that my car was covered in some kind of fence treatment.
Off to reception, explained my plight and asked if I could use their hose pipe on the side of the building to wash the substance off before it dried. To my surprise this was declined but they would send someone down to my tourer who would be able to assist me with a hose at another area. I even asked where the nearest car wash but was assured someone will be coming down to sort out a house pipe for me.
After some time and not prepared to watch paint dry on my car I managed to use a flannel and countless trips in and out of my tourer to wash it off and then dry it. And no, nobody did come to assist me!
Admittedly this was my problem and not the sites. However, It would have been great to have come from there thinking, I was in a bit of a 'pinch' and they helped me out.
Apart from the time we booked in the staff did nothing to engage with you as you passed them on site, no hello, good morning etc and this was the same on checkout. Not even a how was your stay.

Had a fantastic week camping (18th/25th August 2012) the staff couldn't have been more helpful after a couple of things went wrong! ie we forgot our pillows and they were kind enough to loan us some and then the car battery went flat so one of the members of staff gave us a jump start!
The showers and toilets were always clean, and, what a great idea the family room was. The entertainment was first class I don't know what 'JC' was on but I wouldn't mind some! The pool and all the other facilities were free so don't know how people were charged. We were given a pass to use everything and from the Monday the barrier was down which was good, we never had a problem with unruly kids they rode their bikes and scooters up and down the car park, but then so did our daughter, we are booking to go back in August 2013 and I can't wait!! See you all soon xxxxxx

We enjoyed an excellent stay at Manorbier. A clean caravan park with very good facilities; the evening entertainment is supberb for such a small park. The toilets and showers are clean (with the exception of a few cobwebs!). The swimming pool is great and provides plenty of seating for parents to watch their kids. I would like to point out that we could not connect to the free WIFI, on our laptop or phones and the man on reception was not very helpful - he told me some laptops are set with restrictions (but seemed uninterested in my problem). We could not connect even when we disabled our security settings. All the other staff were approachable and very helpful. The park called us when we were at Oakwood theme park to tell us our awning had blown over our caravan and the staff helpfully pulled it back over. Although this caused us to leave early we had a great stay.

Room Tip: Don't rely on free WIFI!

Just had a holiday at Manorbier after trying to go there for a couple of years, but it was always full. Lovely sized site (not too big or too small), and the facilities as already mentioned by others were very good. We only used the club on a couple of occasions, but 'JC' did more each evening on his own than certain sites do with an army of Redcoats!! Swimming Pool was a reasonable size, and fairly well used. We ate in the site restaurant, which was full within 30mins of opening, and were suitably impressed by the food. We also had 'takeaway' pizzas on a couple of occasions - which we would recommend. Close enough to Manorbier Station to catch a train to Tenby (trains only every two hours though). Did struggle to get a WiFi signal as per the previous report - as well as o2 mobile coverage. Site shop was basic, but most people who do self catering brought food with them, or shopped in Tenby. No sign of any 'asbo' kids, just families enjoying themselves despite the weather!

We have just come back from a weeks holiday here , the park was well set out , nice and clean and the caravan was to a high standard , my only problem was that the website should be a little bit more clear and honest about the facilities i.e the WiFi ( which is becoming more and more essential these days especially with our wet summers ) is actually restricted to the club area even then you had to sit close to the office area , also the health and fitness suites and soarium which are offered are subject to a £2.50 charge per visit , but making up for these small points are a good indoor pool and John who works his socks off to entertain kids and adults alike . Thanks for agreat holiday . Tom and family Liverpool
