We stopped by chance looking for a late Sunday lunch after comming off the Rosslare to Pembroke Dock Ferry. We were met with a friendly welcome. There was a choice of lamb and beef roasts for Sunday lunch. Both were superb; beautifully tender meat, lovely vegetables and plenty of great gravy. There was a good selection of beers and wines. We had no room for deserts, but the list was very tempting.

Went for evening meal with my partner. The bar service was lovely. The menu is basic but there is something for most peoples taste. We were seated at the bar till our food was ready then shown to our table. I had the steak and side order of garlic bread and my partner had the steak and merlot pie. It was well presented although I was slightly disappointed that after being told that onion rings came with the steak that there was only 2 on my plate. Also the did order of garlic bread - two pieces for £2.50 is extortionate!! My partners pie was definitely homemade. Very wish and tasty. He found the pastry a little hard for his liking. When our plates were cleared the chef came out to ask was there a problem with the pastry as he had left some behind. Which you don't see very often. Overall we were pleased.

We are regular visitors to the Milton Brewery since last summer and have dined there regularly over the past 9 months. The new proprieters Sandra and Jude are always very welcoming and friendly and they work hard to deliver great service and home cooked food, which is a mix of traditional hearty fare and some not so traditional specials which are great value for money. If it's good food in a local village pub with a nice atmosphere you want, then call into the Milton Brewery - you will not be disappointed.
