From the moment we arrived, the Cliffe Norton Hotel lived up to its reputation - our coach party was greeted with tea/coffee and toasted teacakes, while the cases were sorted and taken to our rooms - so no long queues for keys - how efficient is that ! It would be difficult to fault this excellent hotel with friendly, helpful staff, a chef who provided us with delicious beautifully presented meals and went out of his way to ensure that anyone with dietary problems was looked after.
Definitely a must for a future visit.

This hotel was excellent! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The waiters were quick, well organised and efficient! The seating was comfortable and there was a nice calm atmosphere in the lovely dining room.
The bedroom we were allocated was small with large windows which could be draughty or too hot & overpowering on a warmer day! However the room was beautifully decorated and attractive - with a really good wardrobe and drawers, a good full length mirror and a small TV (modern) so it was very nice.
The bed was three quarter size (not double) comfortable & warm (although they tucked the blankets and sheets in really firmly & we could not move easily) we slept well here! The bathroom was clean and well appointed with a good shower & bath. Plenty of clean towels were available and you could have another one for a £1 or 60p. Tea & coffee were supplied and refilled daily. I have to say - nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very obliging. As the Hotel is a graded listed building there was a lot of nooks and crannies, but everything was really lovely. I was greatly disappointed not to be allocated a sea view room though as I am disabled and don't get anywhere much! A lot of people on our bus trip had large rooms with views, but I think we drew the short straw! This was a well run hotel which could be peaceful or lively - whatever you wanted - there was fun if you wanted it ( and music) but was nice and calm at mealtimes because of staff efficiency. I really enjoyed our stay here but would recommend you ask for a sea view before the break if you really want one. Thank You Cliffe Norton & your great chef!

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room if you really want one! The other rooms are good standard though.

Just got home from a 5 day break at the Cliffe Norton, and have to say, we didnt like this hotel, we loved it. (sorry simon cowel for stealing one of your lines.) the location was ideal with great views over Tenby harbour from our seaview room. The staff are excellent, very friendly and efficient from reception to restaurant to chambermaids. our room was a bit on the small side but very clean and quite adequate for our needs. the bathrooms where cleaned daily to a high standard. beds were clean and comfortable.there was nightly entertainment, some better than others as in any hotel, but all in all quite good. Now to the food. we have never been in a uk hotel where the food has been cooked and presented as well. the chef and his staff deserve medals for their food. everything they put in front of you is of the highest order. be it breakfast or evening meal, every course is perfect. i'm afraid chef has set the benchmark we will be looking in future hotel we stay in. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

Room Tip: sea view rooms , for the view of tenby

The food at this hotel was excellent. I think it is the best I have ever had in an hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff very friendly. Our room was a bit small but we had a sea view which was great. The only downside to this hotel is that there are no telephones in the room and no panic buttons. A member of our club was very ill on the first night there and she couldn't contact anyone. So maybe a good thing for the hotel to sort out. Overall the short break was great.

Food quite outstanding the best I have known for a hotel.
Rooms very good and a fair size.
A very warm welcome by the owners.
Although the weather was not as good as we would have liked the Hotel more than made up for it

Room Tip: Front of house views very good
