Absolutely brilliant. Lovely food, great service, well worth the money. We eat out a good deal and this was the best we've had in while.

We enjoyed our visit and the food we had was we done and tasty and there is good selection and some more colonial offerings too. It's a little noisy in some ways but not unpleasantly so. Suits the cuisine, a quiet hushed environment would be out of place.

First to note is that the all you can eat menu must be taken by the whole table excepting children taking the kid's menu. This was a little hard as our little darlings didn't want the kid's menu nor anything on the all you can eat. I know the restaurant has to do something like this to prevent one person sharing the all you can eat with a whole table.

Also having children and needing to drive did sort of spoil the idea of taking the whole evening nibbling and chatting but they will grow up.

If eating a la carte the watch out as things do add up very quickly.

Return visit to excellent tapas. Book as it is very popular. All you can eat menu good value but eating al la carte provides exciting and delicious alternative. Sea bass, scallops and broad beans with proscutio to die for. Manchego imported from Spain is superb. Excellent but reasonable wines. Perdro Ximenez sherry not easy to find so very welcome choice excellent with the Manchego. Excellent service from staff and personal service from patron. Fresh ingredients well sourced and speak for themselves. Eaten tapas in Spain and much more expensive restaurants in London but The Terrace as good as any and better than most. Make sure you visit!

We have visited here each time we come to Woolacombe and always book in advance. This time we came with friends. We both had our 8 year old daughters with us. We ordered the £12 deal for adults and half price for children and selected and ordered our tapas. The waitress then came back with a measuring stick and said she needed to measure the height of each child. Our friends measured in at 140cm and was half price our daughter who is tall for her age was 145 and failed. the waitress said she will have to pay full price. We were all so shocked and couldnt believe it that we just laughed. But as it sunk it we became angry and eventually spoilt our night. The waitress seemed to want our table and looked down at us when we ordered more and this just made us more determined to stay. I cannot believe that two eight year olds can be charged differently just because of there height. Most restaurants are age 10 or under and some 12 and under. This is shocking and we wont be returning again it spoilt our evening with our friends and we have still been discussing it today. We didnt say anything to the staff directy as we were all shocked but the waitress heard our comments. This is no longer the family business we used to visit and wonder where the next step will be - measuring waist sizes???? Very disappointed
