“Comfortable stay with great views”
Reviewed June 29, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We had a very relaxed holiday and the house is well equipped except for the lack of a teapot!
Ilfracombe and surrounding area have lots to keep you occupied.
Market St is very steep and my parents who are both fit 82+ year olds found walking up it a little difficult.
I would echo the comments about getting the car through the passage - made even more difficult by the current scaffolding

Thanks for your kind review.
Have noted the teapot which will be purchased . I'm afraid Market st hill will be a bit more difficult to level , but at least it's just the one hill from the flat walk all the way to the harbour or tunnel beaches .Unfortunately the West Country has its fair share of hills and Ilfracombe is no exception.
The Scaffolding on a neighbours property has now been removed thankfully!

“Lovely house and great location!”

Stayed for a long weekend for the May Bank Holiday.

The house was in a great location for exploring Ilfracombe on foot. Didn't attempt the garage with a large car but plenty of easy parking nearby so not an issue.

The house is lovely and beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend staying here for a great location and enough space for 6.

Thanks Elaine ,really pleased that you enjoyed your stay , probably wise with a large car to avoid the Mews entrance but as you rightly say , everything Ilfracombe has to offer is on your doorstep.

“Relaxing break”
Reviewed September 21, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Had a fantastic 4 days holiday in this holiday let, the house was very clean, the décor is a retro style which we really liked it felt like home from home. The views are wonderful.
I booked this holiday and found Trevor and Colin very helpful and they were easy to contact and they didn't seem to mind me contacting them.
The house is very close to the town. Its within walking distant of Verity.
We went as family our kids are 20 and 17 and they loved everything about this house and ilfracombe. We all thoroughly recommend stopping here and Ilfracombe.
Ps Would love to return and would definitely book the house again.

“Great family holiday in a stunning townhouse”
Reviewed September 17, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

What a lovely place to stay in Ilfracombe. The house was really well appointed and homely- little extras like tea, coffee and toilet rolls having been provided always make self catering hols a little easier. We slept five adults and a baby comfortably. The kitchen is high spec and all of the mattresses were very comfortable. You can tell no expense has been spared to ensure guests have a cosy stay, we only stayed four nights but would have been comfortable here for much longer. Trevor and Colin were exceptionally good at communicating with us before and during the stay to make sure all was well. The location was good, very close to the seafront (sea views), harbour and high street. Unfortunately the high street is rather run down these days but that is nothing to do with this property itself of course. All in all the house is extremely good value for money and I would highly recommend it. Thanks again Trevor and Colin.

Glad you enjoyed the house and Ilfracombe , think a lot of high streets suffer these days but there is everything you need and it still retains its original character and investment and change in the retail sector is on the up with a lot of individual shops and galleries , watch this space !

“Lovely house, great location”
Reviewed August 29, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a great week using this property. It was very comfortable and a great place to relax. Good location near Landmark Theatre and easy walk down to harbour and Tunnels Beach. We had a hired car which we parked on Market Street as entrance quite tight but plenty to do for short stay in Ilfracombe without car, using public transport. Will return!

“Fantastic, better than a home from home.”

Totally agree with other August review, Market Street was exactly what we wanted and more. There were 6 of us including 4 teenagers and we didn't want to leave, very modern, practical and retro style went down a storm with us all. Very clean and had everything you could possibly need and the welcome notes and fresh produce were a lovely touch. Neighbour very friendly and was great recommending places to visit and places to eat.

We were a bit nervous as this was our first private holiday rental, but had no problems and will definitely be booking again. Got a parking permit from the Landmark Theatre as we had 2 cars, and had no problems parking there every day.

Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay at what is a really special holiday home for us to enjoy personally and not just a holiday let . I really enjoyed styling the house in a particular mid century fashion that I am so fond of , hope to see you again in the not to distant future to enjoy the delights that Ilfracombe and Nth Devon had to offer .
