Very welcoming on arrival despite us being two hours early! Parking outside not a problem. Lovely guest lounge with amazing sea views. Room 6 not the biggest but stunning view of verity and spotlessly clean. Very quiet at night and a short walk to the harbour. The breakfast really sets this place apart. Thick bacon, choice of eggs, excellent quality sAusages, fresh fruit, yogurts, smoked fish...faultless...and a gorgeous view from the breakfast room with lovely ambient music playing. A superb spot.

We stayed at the Collingdale for 3 nights. Traditional B&B, walkable distance from harbour. Back bedrooms have amazing harbour/sea views. Rooms clean and have everything you need. Plenty hot water. Extremely accomodating hosts. Sharon lovely, friendly and helpful. Darryl's breakfasts are a legend, poached eggs amazing! Will be going back.

Room Tip: ask for a sea view, if you can climb the stairs , the higher the better.

We stopped just one night while in Ilfracombe and would happily stay longer on a future trip to this spectacular part of the North Devon coastline. The owners were welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the area. The views across the harbour entrance keep taking your attention with the constant traffic of yachts, kayaks and ferries.
The smoked haddock and poached egg I chose for breakfast was perfectly cooked. It is no surprise this rates as an AA 4 star guest house.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a sea view from your room, but remember there are a lot of stairs if you select the top floor. The dining and lounge rooms also have the sea views.

My husband and I have just returned home from a 7 day break at the Collingdale. What a fantastic holiday, the owners Sharon & Darryl were so friendly and helpful especially as my husband is currently on kidney dialysis and they had to accomodate his supply of dialysis fluids. Our room (2) had a fab sea view and was spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were lovely especially the smoked haddock with a perfectly poached egg on top. We would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants an excellent place to stay for visit to Ilfracombe. The weather was just an added bonus.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 2 which has a fantastic view of the harbour.

I stayed in The Collingdale for one night, and it was very comfortable. Spectacular views across the harbour, very good location, with great access to local amenities and attractions. Owners welcoming and informative. Very clean room and utilities with fantastic space and comfort. Generous and tasty breakfast. Would definitely stay there again
