We visit North Devon regularly and ALWAYS come to St James Tea Room. This small unassuming tea room on a road with several tea rooms, never lets us down.

There is seating inside and out, and a good range of items on the menu, although I always have the cream tea, which I recommend! Two big scones with plenty of jam and cream, washed down with hot tea!

The owner has been there every time I've been and is alway friendly and welcoming.

We will return on our next visit, you should too!

Thank Dan P

Lovely to dine outside and watch the passers by underneath grapevines. Quick friendly service. We were met with the smell of freshly made scones wafting from the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our Devonshire cream teas and we would be sure to return on our next visit to Ilfracombe.

Such a charming little place. Which accommodates in door and outdoor eating. We ate our doors in their lovely garden area as we had our small dog with us. We ordered sandwiches which were served with a small Salad and a pot of tea got 2. Price £9'20 which was excellent value and Andy the owner even bought a digestive biscuit for our dog. Really friendly and clean establishment . Well worth a visit .

Discovered this gem many years ago. Have to make the trip to St . James everytime we visit nearby Woolacombe . The food is always excellent with service to match.
